About our Mexican catering in Folly Town

With mobile Mexican catering, we bring the kitchen with us: we park our truck or trailer on site and serve hot food from it. You don’t need a kitchen at the venue. It suits festivals, fairs and markets and anniversaries and engagements, serving loaded nachos, quesadillas and fresh salsas and guacamole.

Somewhere as small as Folly Town, a garden or field is often the venue. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

Our caterer checklist

For planners, venues and organisers

If you are booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

Throwing a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we will let you know if it’s a good fit.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Contact us for a quote to compare.

How it works

Service is quick and friendly: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. When service ends, we pack down. Daylight in Folly Town runs to about 8:45pm in late May and 7:00pm in late September. Let us know if service will run after dark, and we’ll talk about lighting.

  1. First, send us your date, venue, numbers and any diets we should know about.
  2. We put together a menu around your guests and quote for it.
  3. Before the day, we agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve from the truck or trailer, or from a taco-bar station.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

Before we arrive

  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
