Mexican catering in Freefolk, from our food truck or trailer
We plan each menu with the client, so fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, alongside vegan choices such as black beans or spiced mushrooms. For charity and school events and family gatherings and christenings, we’ll put together a menu of burritos, a build-your-own taco bar and tacos.
Somewhere like Freefolk, a field or garden is often the setting. Gates, verges and soft ground are worth mentioning when you enquire. You will know what’s included before you book: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

Freefolk: your questions answered
Do you cater in villages like Freefolk?
Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.
How far is Freefolk from central London?
It is about 55 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.
What does Mexican catering cost?
The price depends on numbers, menu, service time and where your event is. Send us the details for a quote.
Can you cater for special diets?
Diets are planned in advance, with options kept separate, but we cannot promise a kitchen without traces of any allergen. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.
Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?
Of course. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.
Do you provide drinks?
Yes. The drinks bar can be added to food or booked on its own. We’ll check the licensing for alcohol with you.
Can you serve in bad weather?
The truck or trailer serves in the rain, but guests will need somewhere covered to eat.
Do you cook on site?
We slow-cook fillings ahead, then finish them and keep them hot at your event. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.
The menu, item by item

A quesadilla is an easy favourite.
Build-your-own taco bar
A taco bar is relaxed and sociable, and guests with different diets can choose what suits them, with every dish labelled.
What Mexican catering costs
Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:
- The number of people
- The menu you choose
- Parking and the route in
- How many staff you need
Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.
Getting an accurate quote
You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but these help:
- The address or venue name
- Any dietary needs and allergies
- Gate widths, slopes and the ground
- The date and time of the event
Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you actually want. To ask for one, tell us about it on our contact page.
Step by step
On the day, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. Service starts at the time we have agreed, planned around your event. Around midsummer it stays light in Freefolk until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so summer evening events are normally served in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 4:00pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.
- First, send us a few details about your event.
- We suggest fillings and extras and send a quote.
- Access, the serving spot, power and water are agreed in advance.
- On the day we park up, set up and serve hot food to order.
- Once service ends, we clear away.
Preparing for the day
- Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
- Let us know the timings for the day
- Name one person we can ask on the day
