Mexican catering for Friday Street events
Mexican catering in Friday Street, from our truck or trailer
With mobile Mexican catering, we bring the kitchen with us: we park our truck or trailer on site and serve hot food from it. No kitchen is needed on site. It works well for leaving parties and weddings and evening receptions, with fresh salsas and guacamole, burrito bowls and quesadillas.
In a rural place like Friday Street, access is the main thing to plan: gate widths, soft ground and the distance from the road all matter. We confirm power and water arrangements with you before the day. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.
FAQs for Friday Street
Do you come out to small places like Friday Street?
Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.
Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St James?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.
What can we choose from?
Tacos, build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, loaded nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. See our sample menu.
Do you have dairy-free options?
Yes, we can. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we’ll plan the menu around them.
Do you cater for coeliacs?
Yes, gluten-free options are available, using corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared.
Can you serve in the rain?
We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.
Do you cater for big events?
It depends on the event. As a guide, it’s around 50 to 400 guests; tell us your numbers and we’ll plan around them.
How much is a food truck for an event?
We quote for each event, based on what you actually need. Tell us your date and numbers for a clear quote.
Popular choices
Quesadillas
Quesadillas are simple and comforting.
Loaded nachos
Nachos are easy sharing food, whether as a starter or a late bite. We can plan a dairy-free version.
DIY taco night versus a caterer
Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.
Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.
The process
We arrive in good time before service, then set up and prepare everything. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. Around midsummer it stays light in Friday Street until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are normally served in daylight. For winter events, when it’s dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.
- First, send us a few details about your event.
- We suggest fillings and extras and send a quote.
- We agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
- On the day we park up, set up and serve hot food to order.
- We pack down after service and leave the area tidy.
