Mexican catering in Gospel Oak, from our food truck or trailer

You can keep the menu short or make it a feast: tacos on their own, or tacos with burritos, nachos and quesadillas. Our Mexican drinks bar can be added too, with licensing checked with you. At leaving dos and retirement parties and anniversaries and engagements, we can serve burrito bowls, quesadillas and loaded nachos for your guests.

Around Gospel Oak, parking and loading are the main things to plan for a truck or trailer. Narrow streets and permit bays decide where we can stop, so tell us about a driveway, a courtyard or whether a parking suspension is needed when you ask for a quote. Like all of Greater London, Gospel Oak is inside the ULEZ. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

Should I do it myself?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

Gospel Oak questions

We are having a ceremony at Highgate Road Chapel: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

What’s the nearest station to Gospel Oak for guests?

Guests can use Gospel Oak station, which is right in Gospel Oak.

How many guests can you cater for?

Our service typically suits around 50 to 400 guests. Bigger festivals and smaller parties are looked at case by case.

How is the food prepared?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we’ll check the licensing with you.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn is naturally gluten-free, though some sauces and toppings can contain gluten, so we plan gluten-free dishes carefully and give allergen information.

What food do you serve?

Tacos and taco bars, plus burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas. Our sample menu has more detail.

How does mobile Mexican catering work?

We bring our food truck or trailer to your venue, cook to order and serve tacos, burritos and more from the hatch. A build-your-own taco bar is another option.

How to compare caterers

Comparing your options

A plated meal needs a kitchen and a larger team. A food truck or trailer is its own kitchen, and needs a suitable spot, safe access and the venue’s agreement. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. We quote for each event individually.
