About our Mexican catering in Haine

A build-your-own taco bar is one of the most sociable ways to feed a crowd. Everyone builds their own tacos from what’s laid out, so nobody ends up with something they do not want. We serve quesadillas, a build-your-own taco bar and burrito bowls, which works well for office lunches and team days and christenings and family parties.

Somewhere as small as Haine, a garden or field is often the venue. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives and we will plan for them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

Our caterer checklist

How we price Mexican catering

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Guest numbers
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Travel, parking and access
  • How long we’re needed on site

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

Details that help

To check availability and price, we need:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • How we drive in and where we can park

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. To send your details, send a quick message through our quote form.

How it works

On the day, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. Service starts at the time we’ve agreed, so everything runs to your schedule. In Haine, the sun sets at about 9:15pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, so summer evening events are normally served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. Share the date, the venue and how many are coming.
  2. Together we plan a menu around your guests’ diets.
  3. We check the route in and where the truck or trailer will stand.
  4. Guests order at the hatch or build their own at the taco bar.
  5. We clear our serving area when everyone is fed.

Getting ready for the day

  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Give us a contact for the day

Planning help

Catering for every guest

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Collect dietary needs when guests reply
  • Plan a vegan filling as well as a vegetarian one
  • Mention any other caterers or courses
  • Put any allergies in writing for us

Once everyone has eaten, we tidy up and pack away quietly.

A tray of loaded nachos works well to start.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Questions from Haine

What’s the nearest station to Haine for guests?

The closest is Ramsgate station, roughly 1.2 miles away.

Can you cater a reception after a service at St Christopher's Church?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Are plates and napkins included?

We confirm that with your quote. Tell us whether your venue has crockery or you’d prefer disposables.

How many guests can you serve?

Our truck and trailer service usually suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Tell us your numbers.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes, children are welcome. Let us know numbers and ages, and we will suggest mild options.

Do you do a drinks bar?

Yes. The drinks bar offers margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and alcohol-free drinks. We’ll go through the licensing with you.

Do you have vegan options?

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote, and we will keep their options separate.

What does Mexican catering cost?

The price depends on numbers, menu, service time and where your event is. Contact us for a quote.

Planning a food truck in Haine

Haine is about 2 miles north-west of Ramsgate, in Kent. Give us the address of your event in Haine, and we will plan access and set-up. We cover 922 places across Kent, from the larger towns to small villages. You can also see our page for Canterbury, about 14 miles away.

If you are organising a summer fair for a school like Dame Janet Primary Academy, a taco truck can be a crowd-pleaser. For a christening or wedding at a church such as St Christopher's Church, a food truck at a garden or venue nearby is an easy way to feed everyone. With the sea within about 2 miles, a beach-side event might appeal. Promenades and beaches typically need permission, and the truck or trailer has to park on firm ground, not sand.

We cater events across the CT12 postcode area. From Hawthorn Grange and Haine Road or a nearby road, we can bring Mexican catering there, given access.
