Mexican catering in Hawridge, served fresh

The menu starts with tacos: warmed tortillas, a choice of fillings, and salsas, guacamole and toppings to finish. Burritos, burrito bowls, loaded nachos and quesadillas can sit alongside them. We serve a build-your-own taco bar, burritos and tacos, and it’s a good fit for garden parties and weddings and evening receptions.

In a small place like Hawridge, events are typically in a garden, a field or a nearby hall. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our truck or trailer.

Mexican catering around Hawridge

Hawridge is in Buckinghamshire. Across the HP5 area, we’ll come to your venue or site, as long as there’s access. Hawridge is one of 263 places in Buckinghamshire we cover. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Hawridge to Milton Keynes (about 21 miles away).

If you’re celebrating after a service at a church like Church of St Mary, a truck or trailer parked at a hall or garden close by can serve the meal. For a fête or sports day at a school such as Hawridge and Cholesbury Church of England School, hot food from a truck or trailer saves the volunteers from cooking. Venues in and around the Chilterns National Landscape, within about 5 miles of Hawridge, sometimes limit where vehicles can go. Ask yours about access for a truck or trailer before you book.

This part of Buckinghamshire takes in HP5, so your event can be anywhere in it. Whether your event is on Hawridge Common and Hawridge Vale or anywhere nearby, we will plan where to park and serve. Neighbouring places where we cater events include Bellingdon (1 mile south), Asheridge (1 mile south) and Chartridge (2 miles south). Within a short drive, we also cover Aylesbury (9 miles north-west), High Wycombe (10 miles south-west), Chesham (3 miles south), Marlow (14 miles south-west), Amersham (5 miles south) and Beaconsfield (10 miles south).

Nearby you will also find Hawridge Court (0.6 miles south-east) and Chiltern Hospital (4.9 miles south-west). The countryside around Hawridge includes Sands Bank and Pavis Wood.

  • Local pubs include The Rose & Crown pub (within half a mile south-east)

The process

Service is quick and friendly: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. When service ends, we pack down. In Hawridge, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening events are normally served in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.

  1. Share the date, the venue and how many are coming.
  2. We plan a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We confirm the way in and where we will park.
  4. Guests order at the hatch or build their own at the taco bar.
  5. We clear our serving area when everyone is fed.

Before we arrive

  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready

Before you choose a spot

Every venue is different, so we will ask about yours before we confirm. In general, we need:

  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand
  • Space for a taco-bar table if you’ve chosen one

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before booking.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

Planners, venues and businesses

If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Comparing your options

A drop-off platter is easy, but nobody remembers it. Hot food served from a truck feels like part of the event. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

Why us?

  • Allergen-aware menus
  • Every guest catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free included
  • We cover Hawridge and the whole of Buckinghamshire
  • Tacos, burritos and a drinks bar

Planning for every diet

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because options can be kept separate. A few tips:

  • Have a covered area ready in case of rain
  • Include at least one vegan filling
  • Ask the venue whether food trucks are allowed
  • Confirm allergies by email before the event

If you’ve chosen a taco bar, the fillings, salsas and toppings go out on a serving table, and guests help themselves.

Ask about extra salsas and toppings for a bigger spread.
