Book Mexican catering in Iping

Is Mexican catering right for your event?

A plated meal needs a kitchen and a larger team. Our food truck or trailer brings its own kitchen, so we need a suitable spot, access and the venue’s permission, with power and water confirmed when you book. Pricing depends on the event. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Your quote sets it all out.

Mexican catering in Iping, from our truck or trailer

Keep it simple or go further: tacos on their own, or tacos with burritos, nachos and quesadillas. Our Mexican drinks bar can be added too, with licensing checked with you. Popular choices include tacos, a build-your-own taco bar and loaded nachos, and it’s a good fit for garden get-togethers and leaving dos and retirement parties.

In a small place like Iping, events are generally in a garden, a field or a nearby hall. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives and we will plan for them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

How it works

Here’s how the day usually runs: we arrive and set up, service opens at the agreed time, and your guests are served fresh until service ends. Winter evenings in Iping close in by about 4:00pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

  1. You tell us the date, the venue, rough guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. We put together a menu around your guests and quote for it.
  3. Together we confirm where the truck or trailer will park, plus power and water.
  4. We arrive, set up and cook to order, with salsas and guacamole made fresh.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Tell us when you want service to start

Questions from Iping

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of St Mary?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you cater in villages like Iping?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We clear our own area when service is finished. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

We can, using corn tortillas. Corn is naturally gluten-free, though some sauces and toppings can contain gluten, so we plan gluten-free dishes carefully and give allergen information.

When do you arrive?

We get there well before service to set up. Serving times are agreed with you in advance, along with pack-down.

How does mobile Mexican catering work?

We bring our truck or trailer to your venue, cook to order and serve tacos, burritos and more from the hatch. A build-your-own taco bar is another option.

Can we add a bar?

We can. The drinks bar offers margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and alcohol-free drinks. We’ll go through the licensing with you.

Prices and what affects them

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • How long we are needed on site
  • The menu you choose
  • The number of people
  • How many staff you need

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Your quote confirms the full price.

Details that help

These details help us quote quickly:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • The venue or postcode
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

Every quote is put together for your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we will check availability at the same time.

Popular choices

Tacos

Warm tortillas with a choice of fillings, finished with salsas and toppings. Fillings are agreed with you, such as carnitas, chicken tinga or spiced mushrooms.

Quesadillas

Toasted tortillas with melted cheese inside, cut into wedges.

Space, access and the venue

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We need:

  • A spot for a taco-bar serving table
  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • Permission from the venue or landowner

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly before you book.
