Mexican catering in Kit's Coty, served fresh

Food from a truck or trailer feels relaxed. Guests come up to the hatch, chat while they wait and take something hot back to their seats, which suits informal events. For milestone birthdays and anniversaries and engagements, we can serve quesadillas, loaded nachos and burritos.

In a small place like Kit's Coty, events are generally in a garden, a field or a nearby hall. Tell us about narrow lanes, gates and long drives and we will plan for them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. Guests are served from our food truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Organising for someone else?

If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Throwing a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about access, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

A closer look at the menu

Loaded nachos

Crisp tortilla chips loaded with toppings, salsa and guacamole.

Burritos and burrito bowls

Rice, beans, a filling and toppings rolled in a large tortilla, or served as a bowl instead.

Comparing your options

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. Our truck or trailer brings its own kitchen, and needs a suitable spot, safe access and the venue’s agreement. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What you get with us

What happens on the day

Here’s how the day normally runs: we park up and get ready, we open the hatch when you are ready, and your guests are served fresh until service ends. Around midsummer it stays light in Kit's Coty until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so summer evening events are typically served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:50pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. Contact us with the basics: when, where and how many.
  2. We come back with menu ideas and a quote.
  3. Nearer the date, we go over the final plan.
  4. At the agreed time, service starts from the truck or trailer.
  5. When you’re done, we pack away.

Planning the serving area

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but there are a few things to check:

  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.
