Mexican catering in Leagreen

Mexican catering in Leagreen, served fresh

Our food truck or trailer travels to events across Leagreen and nearby: gardens, fields, yards and venues with hardstanding, wherever we can get in safely. Popular choices include tacos, fresh salsas and guacamole and burritos, and it suits big birthday celebrations and charity and school events.

In a small place like Leagreen, events are usually in a garden, a field or a nearby hall. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. We’ll check the space, access and power with you before the day, so set-up goes smoothly.

Catering for every guest

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Let us know if a guest is coeliac
  • Plan somewhere covered for guests to eat if it rains
  • Collect dietary needs when guests reply
  • Check that your venue allows outside caterers and vehicles

Allergen information is on hand for every dish.

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can be added from our drinks bar.

How it compares

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. A food truck or trailer is its own kitchen, and needs a suitable spot, safe access and the venue’s agreement. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we’ll set out what’s included.

What you get with us

  • A menu agreed with you
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • A plan agreed before the day

Leagreen questions

Do you come to events in the New Forest National Park?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and catering, so check with yours. We will follow the site rules.

Do you come out to small places like Leagreen?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking for the truck or trailer.

Can you cater for special diets?

Diets are planned in advance, with options kept separate, though we cannot guarantee a kitchen with no trace of any allergen. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

How soon do we need to book?

As soon as you have a date. Popular dates go first, so it pays to ask early.

What if the weather’s bad?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. It is worth planning a covered area for guests, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote, and we’ll keep their options separate.

How big an event can you cater?

Truck and trailer service typically suits around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Send us your numbers and we will advise.

How much does Mexican catering cost?

We quote for each event, depending on numbers, menu, venue and timings. For a price, use our quote form.

Leagreen: venues, access and local tips

Leagreen is about 3 miles west of Lymington, in Hampshire. Anywhere in SO41, we can bring the truck or trailer to you, as long as there’s access. We cover all 683 towns and villages in Hampshire, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. You can also see our page for Southampton, about 15 miles away.

Nearby historic houses include Highcliffe Castle (4.5 miles west). If your event is at a historic house or estate, check its rules on outside caterers and vehicles early. If you are organising a summer fair for a school like Hordle CofE (VA) Primary School, a taco truck can be a crowd-pleaser. With the New Forest National Park about 6 miles away at most, a rural setting is never far from Leagreen. Country lanes there can be narrow and verges soft, so tell us about the route in. With the sea within about 4 miles, a beach-side event might appeal. Promenades and beaches usually need permission, and the truck or trailer has to park on firm ground, not sand.

We serve at events all over the SO41 postcode area. Nearby, we also cater events in Downton (1 mile west), Hordle (1 mile north), Ashley (2 miles north-west), New Milton (2 miles north-west) and Barton on Sea (2 miles west). We also cater in nearby towns such as Totton (13 miles north), Lymington (3 miles east), Hythe (12 miles north-east), Ringwood (10 miles north-west), Dibden Purlieu (12 miles north-east) and Marchwood (13 miles north-east).

What happens on the day

On the day, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. Service starts at the time we’ve agreed, planned around your event. In Leagreen, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so summer evening events are generally served in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 4:05pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.

  1. It begins with the basics: your date, venue, guest numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested menu, with fillings agreed with you, and a quote.
  3. We check access, power and water with you or the venue.
  4. On the day we arrive, set up and serve hot food from our truck or trailer.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

Getting ready for the day

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day

Planners, venues and businesses

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

Should I do it myself?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

Salsas and guacamole, made fresh for your event.

Loaded nachos

Space, access and the venue

Every venue is different, so we’ll ask about yours before we confirm. Generally, we look for:

  • Hardstanding or firm, level ground to park on
  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • Space for a taco-bar table if you’ve chosen one

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
