Mexican catering in Leamouth

How our Mexican catering works in Leamouth

Few things get guests chatting like a build-your-own taco bar. Everyone builds their own tacos from what’s laid out, so each plate is exactly how they like it. It works well for fundraisers and school events and leaving parties, serving loaded nachos, fresh salsas and guacamole and tacos.

In Leamouth, events range from courtyards to hired halls. Let us know where the truck or trailer can stop and about any narrow entrances. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Prices and what affects them

Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:

  • The number of people
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • Staff for serving and the bar

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

Getting an accurate quote

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • The address or venue name
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Any dietary needs and allergies

Every quote is put together for your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we will confirm whether we’re available that day.

Catering for every guest

Every guest is catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included. To make it work smoothly:

  • Ask the venue whether food trucks are allowed
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Have a covered area ready in case of rain
  • Put guests with severe allergies in touch with us early

Rain doesn’t stop us serving from the truck or trailer, though guests need somewhere under cover to eat.

Add our Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

Common questions in Leamouth

Which station is closest to Leamouth?

The closest is Custom House station, roughly 0.9 miles away.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of St Luke?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.

Can you serve in the rain?

Rain does not typically stop service from the truck or trailer. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Can guests build their own tacos?

We can. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

Yes, gluten-free options are available, made with corn tortillas. Tell us about any coeliac guests before the event so we can explain how we prepare their food.

How much space do you need?

A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.

What food do you serve?

Tacos, build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, loaded nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. See our sample menu.

Can you come to a private house?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer can’t reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Tell us about the space and we will advise.

Is Mexican catering right for your event?

With a barbecue, someone typically ends up stuck at the grill. With us, the cooking happens in our food truck or trailer, so you can enjoy your event. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we will set out what’s included.

What you get with us

  • A truck or trailer that comes to you
  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch
  • Tacos, burritos and a drinks bar

Read our pricing and the cost guide.

How it works

We work to your timings. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, tell us and we will adjust the start of service where we can. Around midsummer it stays light in Leamouth until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are generally served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. Contact us with the basics: when, where and how many.
  2. We come back with menu ideas and a quote.
  3. Nearer the date, we go over the final plan.
  4. At the agreed time, service starts from the truck or trailer.
  5. We pack away when service is over.

How to prepare

  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Find out what power and water are available
  • Tell us when you want service to start
