Planning an event in E14?

Mexican catering across E14

We plan each menu with the client, so fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, and vegan options like spiced mushrooms or black beans. It suits garden get-togethers and leaving parties, serving burrito bowls, tacos and a build-your-own taco bar.

On the day, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. We are ready to serve at the agreed time, planned around your event.

  1. Send us your date, numbers and venue.
  2. We plan a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We confirm the way in and where we will park.
  4. Guests order at the hatch or build their own at the taco bar.
  5. We clear our serving area when everyone is fed.

What it costs in E14

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Taco catering in E14: local guide

E14 covers everything from London, Mile End and Bow Common to 0 small villages and hamlets, and a food truck or trailer can work in all of them, given access. Town events mean planning parking; village events mean planning access and ground.

Bow Common: Nearby historic houses include Sutton House (2.4 miles north-west) and Queen's House (2.7 miles south). Estates and historic houses tend to set their own rules for caterers, so find out what yours allows first. A school such as St Paul's Way Trust School running a summer fair or fundraiser could book a taco truck. From late May to late September, sunset in Bow Common moves from about 8:50pm to 7:05pm. If your event carries on later, tell us what lighting the venue has.

Planners, venues and businesses

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Why street food works

Every order goes out hot, instead of waiting on a buffet.

We can help if you’re planning any of the following:

  • Garden parties
  • Birthday parties
  • Staff parties and office lunches
  • Markets and community events

The menu, item by item

Burritos and burrito bowls

Burritos are filling and easy to eat on the move. The bowl version suits anyone avoiding tortillas.

Salsas and guacamole

Salsas and guacamole, made fresh for your event.

How it compares

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. Our truck or trailer brings its own kitchen, and needs a suitable spot, safe access and the venue’s agreement.

What your quote should include

  • Whether plates, napkins and cutlery are included
  • Staff numbers and hours
  • How dietary needs and allergies are handled
  • What the caterer needs from your venue

Prices and what affects them

Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:

  • What the venue already provides
  • Parking and the route in
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • How many staff you need

Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you choose what goes in.

Details that help

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. When you’re ready, use our quote form.

E14: your questions answered

Do you provide drinks?

Yes. Our drinks bar can be booked on its own or with food, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. For alcohol, we will check the licensing with you and your venue.

How far ahead should we book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Even if it is short notice, it’s worth asking.

What do you need at the venue?

Level, firm ground, access for the truck or trailer and the venue’s agreement. Power and water are confirmed with each booking.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

Can you cater for special diets?

Diets are planned in advance, with options kept separate, though we can’t guarantee a kitchen with no trace of any allergen. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Do you need electricity?

Let us know what’s available on site, for example a supply from the venue, and we will confirm the arrangements with your quote.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

That’s confirmed with each quote. Let us know what the venue supplies and we’ll talk it through.
