Planning for every diet
Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:
- Give us separate numbers for children
- Tell us what other food is being served
- Tell us about coeliac guests, not just gluten-free preferences
- Guests with serious allergies should speak to us in advance
Allergen information is on hand for every dish, so guests can check before they order.
Extra salsas and toppings can widen the choice.
About our Mexican catering in Mortlake
With mobile Mexican catering, we bring the kitchen with us: we park our truck or trailer on site and serve hot food from it. You do not need a kitchen at the venue. Popular choices include tacos, fresh salsas and guacamole and quesadillas, and it suits company summer parties and birthday parties.
In Mortlake, events range from courtyards to hired halls. Let us know where the truck or trailer can stop and about any narrow entrances. We will check the space, access and power with you before the day, so set-up goes smoothly.

How it works
We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can spend time with your guests. Winter evenings in Mortlake close in by about 3:55pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. At midsummer, the light holds until around 9:20pm.
- Contact us with the basics: when, where and how many.

How we price Mexican catering
Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:
- Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
- What’s on the menu
- How long we’re needed on site
- What the venue already provides
Pricing depends on the event. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.
Details that help
Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:
- Expected numbers
- Your date and when you want service to start
- Gate widths, slopes and the ground
- Diets and allergies you know about
Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you actually want. For a quote, drop us a line using the enquiry form.
DIY taco night versus a caterer
Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.
If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.
Mexican catering or something else?
A plated meal needs a kitchen and a larger team. A food truck or trailer is its own kitchen, and needs a suitable spot, safe access and the venue’s agreement. Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you can choose what you need.
Why us?
- We cover Mortlake and the whole of Greater London
- A menu built around your guests
- Fast service, even with a queue
- Access, space and power checked in advance
Mortlake: your questions answered
What’s the nearest station to Mortlake for guests?
Mortlake has its own station: Mortlake station.
Could you serve our guests after a service at All Saints' Church?
Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.
What is mobile Mexican catering?
We park our truck or trailer at your venue and serve hot Mexican street food from it. You can also have a build-your-own taco bar.
What happens if it rains?
Rain does not typically stop service from the truck or trailer. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.
Do you provide allergen information for each dish?
Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, with allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.
Can we add a bar?
We can. The drinks bar offers margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and alcohol-free drinks. We’ll talk licensing through with you.
Can you do gluten-free food?
We can, using corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we check every dish and give allergen information.
What access do you need?
Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.
