Mexican catering in Nutley, served fresh

Keep it simple or go further: a taco menu, or tacos plus loaded nachos, quesadillas and burrito bowls. Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can come from our drinks bar, with licensing checked with you. It works well for anniversaries and engagements and family gatherings and christenings, with quesadillas, burrito bowls and tacos.

For a rural spot like Nutley, fields and drives need a little planning: gate widths, soft ground and the distance from the road all matter. We confirm power and water arrangements with you before the day. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

How it works

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. Planning an evening event in Nutley? Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May, 9:20pm at midsummer and 7:05pm in late September. For anything running past sunset, think about lights near the hatch.

  1. You tell us the date, the venue, rough guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. We suggest a sample menu and send a quote for your event.
  3. Together we confirm where the truck or trailer will park, plus power and water.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve from the truck or trailer, or from a taco-bar station.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

How to prepare

  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough

How we price Mexican catering

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Parking and the route in
  • Serving staff
  • Food, drinks or both
  • Guest numbers

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

Getting an accurate quote

How it compares

Pizza and burger vans are familiar choices. Mexican street food stands out, yet it is still food most guests know and like. A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What you get with us

  • A clear quote
  • Options for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests
  • A truck or trailer that comes to you
  • A menu agreed with you

What’s on the menu

Salsas and guacamole

The salsas and guacamole finish every plate, and guests add as much as they like.

Burritos and burrito bowls

Rice, beans, a filling and toppings rolled in a large tortilla, or the same served in a bowl.

Should I do it myself?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Before you choose a spot

We will be honest if a space won’t work. What matters most:

  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking
  • Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch
  • Room for a serving table for the taco bar

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Your questions about Mexican catering in Nutley

Can you bring a truck or trailer to venues in the High Weald National Landscape?

Yes, though some venues in protected landscapes have extra rules; ask your venue. We’ll follow the site rules.

Do you cater in villages like Nutley?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Can you come to a private house?

It depends on access. A drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission, if the garden itself is out of reach. Tell us about the space and we’ll advise.

Which areas do you serve?

We cover London and the South East, including East Sussex. Find your area.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, gluten-free options are available, using corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?

Do you do a drinks bar?

We can. Our Mexican drinks bar serves margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Licensing is checked with you first.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

Ask us when you enquire. Let us know what you already have, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

What access do you need?

Access and level ground matter most: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a picture of the space and the way in.
