Planning an event in Park Gate?

Mexican catering in Park Gate, from our food truck or trailer

Truck and trailer service usually suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case, so tell us your numbers. On the menu are fresh salsas and guacamole, loaded nachos and tacos, and it suits office lunches and team days and festivals, fairs and markets.

Somewhere as small as Park Gate, a garden or field is often the venue. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

The process

We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, with power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. Send us a picture of the space if you are unsure. A December event in Park Gate will be in the dark from about 4:00pm, so choose a spot where guests can see what they’re ordering. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

  1. Start by telling us about your event.
  2. We suggest fillings and extras and send a quote.
  3. Access, the serving spot, power and water are agreed in advance.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve from the hatch.
  5. Once service ends, we clear away.

Preparing for the day

Why choose Mexican catering in Park Gate?

People like choosing their own toppings, and a taco bar soon becomes a talking point while they queue.

Almost any gathering can work with a truck or trailer. In Park Gate, you could book us for occasions like:

  • Garden get-togethers
  • Staff parties and office lunches
  • School fairs and fundraisers
  • Weddings, day or evening

When the service is at a church such as St Margaret Mary, the food typically happens elsewhere, at a field, hall or garden with room for the truck.

What your quote should include

  • What the caterer needs from your venue
  • Exactly what’s included in the price
  • How many staff are serving, and for how long
  • Who provides plates and napkins

How to compare caterers

Is Mexican catering right for your event?

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. Our truck or trailer brings its own kitchen, so we need a suitable spot, access and the venue’s permission, with power and water confirmed when you book. Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you can choose what you need.

What you get with us

  • A truck or trailer that comes to you
  • Events in Park Gate and across Hampshire
  • A menu built around your guests
  • A quote that sets out what’s included

See our pricing or our guide to catering costs.

Planning the serving area

We will be honest if a space won’t work. What matters most:

  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

About the menu

Quesadillas

Toasted tortillas with melted cheese inside.

Build-your-own taco bar

A serving table of fillings, salsas and toppings, with tortillas kept warm. Everyone builds their own.

Organising for someone else?

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

What Mexican catering costs

Contact us for a quote, and the price is based on:

  • How long we’re needed on site
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • The menu you choose
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What to tell us

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • The date and rough timings
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Diets and allergies you know about

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you need. To ask for one, fill in our quote form.

Common questions in Park Gate

How far is Park Gate from London?

It is about 67 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Do you come out to small places like Park Gate?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

What if the weather’s bad?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

Do you do parties at home?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer can’t reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Tell us about the space and we’ll advise.

What is mobile Mexican catering?

Our truck or trailer is a mobile kitchen. We set up, serve your guests and clear away when service ends.

Do you cater for big events?

Our service generally suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

That is confirmed with each quote. Let us know what the venue supplies and we’ll talk it through.

Is the food very hot?

We can keep it mild, and hotter salsas go on the side for guests who like heat.
