Mexican catering near Sarisbury

What Mexican catering costs

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • How long we’re needed on site

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Ask us for a quote.

What to tell us

To check availability and price, we need:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Any dietary needs and allergies

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. To send your details, tell us about it on our contact page.

Mexican catering in Sarisbury, served fresh

Keep it simple or go further: tacos on their own, or tacos with burritos, nachos and quesadillas. Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can come from our drinks bar, with licensing checked with you. For weddings and evening receptions and fundraisers and school events, we will put together a menu of burrito bowls, a build-your-own taco bar and quesadillas and more.

For a place the size of Sarisbury, your own garden or drive is often the best venue: no venue to hire and no cooking for you. Let us know about the route to the house. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so set-up goes smoothly.

Catering an event in Sarisbury

Sarisbury is about 3 miles south of Hedge End, in Hampshire. Give us the address of your event in Sarisbury, and we’ll plan the journey and set-up. Sarisbury is one of 683 towns and villages in Hampshire where we can bring Mexican catering. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Sarisbury to Southampton (6 miles away).

Guests leaving a church like Church of St Paul after a christening could walk over to a nearby garden where the tacos are ready. If people are travelling in by rail, the nearest station is Swanwick station, about 0.7 miles east. The coast is within about 2 miles of Sarisbury, so for a seaside event we plan around the wind. The truck or trailer needs firm ground rather than sand or shingle, and seafront spots normally need permission from the council or landowner.

For Mexican catering in SO31, we plan around your venue and the route in and timings. That could mean an event at a home with a drive on Woodlands Close, Bridge Road and Painswick Close. If your venue is just outside Sarisbury, we also cover Swanwick (1 mile north-west), Park Gate (1 mile east), Sarisbury Green (1 mile south-west), Locks Heath (1 mile south-east) and Lower Swanwick (1 mile north-west). Larger places within reach include Winchester (13 miles north), Gosport (7 miles south-east), Havant (13 miles east), Eastleigh (7 miles north-west), Fareham (4 miles east) and Horndean (12 miles east).

A little further out are Coldeast (within half a mile south) and Bursledon Brickworks Industrial Museum (1 mile north). Not far away are Swanwick Lakes.

  • Local schools include Brookfield Community School and Language College (0.6 miles south)
  • Pubs nearby include The Old Ship Inn (0.8 miles north-west)

Planning for every diet

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because options can be kept separate. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Tell us about coeliac guests, not just gluten-free preferences
  • Include at least one vegan filling
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Guests with serious allergies should speak to us in advance

If you’ve chosen a taco bar, the fillings, salsas and toppings go out on a serving table, and guests build their own while we keep it topped up.

Quesadillas are a good choice for children and cautious eaters.

Organising for someone else?

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we will keep you updated on timings and set-up.

Why choose Mexican catering in Sarisbury?

A food truck gives guests somewhere to gather, and the smell of warm tortillas brings people over.

Big or small, a truck or trailer works well. Common bookings include:

  • Anniversaries and engagements
  • Family celebrations
  • Wedding breakfasts and evening food
  • Summer garden parties

If you’re organising a summer fair for a school like Sarisbury Church of England Junior School, a taco truck can be a crowd-pleaser.

Questions to ask before you book

  • How late numbers can change
  • A clear list of what’s included
  • How many staff are serving, and for how long
  • The venue requirements

Questions to ask before you book

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Before you choose a spot

If a space is not suitable, we will tell you, and help find another spot. What matters most:

  • Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer
  • A spot for a taco-bar serving table
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

Menu ideas

How it works

We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. Send us a photo of the space if you are unsure. A December event in Sarisbury will be in the dark from about 4:00pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. At midsummer, the light holds until around 9:20pm.

  1. Send us your date, numbers and venue.
  2. We plan a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We confirm the way in and where we’ll park.
  4. Food is served from the hatch or a taco-bar table.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Before we arrive

  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat

Planning help

Sarisbury: your questions answered

Which station should guests use for Sarisbury?

Guests can use Swanwick station, about 0.7 miles east of Sarisbury.

Do you cater at coastal events near Sarisbury?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades typically need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

How much is a food truck for an event?

The price depends on numbers, menu, service time and where your event is. Contact us for a quote.

Can you cater in a back garden?

Yes, as long as there’s access and a level, firm spot. Tell us about the drive, gates and any slopes.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, using corn tortillas. Tell us about any coeliac guests before the event so we can explain how we prepare their food.

Do you serve in the rain?

We can still serve in the rain. Plan a marquee, gazebo or indoor space for guests to eat in.

Can you keep it mild?

The food can be kept mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

Can we add a bar?

You can add our drinks bar, with bar staff serving margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas. Alcohol needs the right licence, so we will check that with you.
