Mexican catering near Pixham

Mexican catering in Pixham, served fresh

Tacos are the heart of the menu: warm tortillas with your choice of fillings, plus fresh salsas, guacamole and toppings. Burritos, burrito bowls, loaded nachos and quesadillas can sit alongside them. We serve burritos, tacos and a build-your-own taco bar, and it suits fairs and festivals and weddings, day or evening.

For a rural spot like Pixham, fields and drives need a little planning: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. We confirm power and water arrangements with you before the day. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

How it works

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. In Pixham, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening events are normally served in daylight. For winter events, when it’s dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.

  1. You tell us the date, the venue, rough guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. We put together a menu around your guests and quote for it.
  3. We check access, power and water with you or the venue.
  4. On the day we arrive, set up and serve hot food from our food truck or trailer.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers

Planning help

For planners, venues and organisers

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we will keep you updated on timings and set-up.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

Comparing your options

Cold buffets are easy, but the food sits out. Tacos and burritos are made to order and served hot. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we will suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

What you get with us

  • Access, space and power checked in advance
  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests
  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both

Pixham: venues, access and local tips

Pixham is about 1 mile north-east of Dorking, in Surrey. Whether your event is in the middle of Pixham or on the outskirts, we offer the same service: fresh service from our truck or trailer, every diet planned for and a clear quote. Pixham is one of 395 places in Surrey where we can bring Mexican catering. We cater right across the region, from Pixham to Guildford (about 11 miles away).

If you are organising a summer fair for a school like The Ashcombe School, a taco truck can be a crowd-pleaser. For guests coming by train, Dorking station is in Pixham itself. With the Surrey Hills National Landscape about 2 miles away at most, a rural setting is never far from Pixham. Country lanes there can be narrow and verges soft, so tell us about the route in.

We cover events in every part of RH4 and RH5 and the streets around it. Your event could be at a home on London Road, Leslie Road and Pixham Lane. Close by, we cover events in Dorking (1 mile south-west), Westhumble (1 mile north-west), Ranmore Common (2 miles west), North Holmwood (2 miles south) and Mickleham (2 miles north). Planning for every diet

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. We suggest:

  • Guests with serious allergies should speak to us in advance
  • Plan somewhere covered for guests to eat if it rains
  • Flag anyone with coeliac disease
  • Put any allergies in writing for us

When service ends, we pack down and clear our area.

Burrito bowls suit guests who’d rather skip the tortilla.

Loaded nachos

Nachos are easy sharing food. We can plan a dairy-free version.

Tacos

Soft tortillas, warmed and filled, finished with salsas and toppings. Fillings such as carnitas, chicken tinga or spiced mushrooms are agreed with you.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

Perfect for your event in Pixham

It handles mixed diets without fuss, since everyone picks their own fillings and toppings. Vegans and vegetarians eat as well as anyone else.

A truck or trailer suits almost any gathering. In Pixham, you could book us for events such as:

  • Fairs and festivals
  • Retirement and leaving parties
  • Staff parties and office lunches
  • Garden get-togethers

Guests leaving a church like Pixham Church after a christening could walk over to a nearby garden where the tacos are ready.

What your quote should include

  • VAT, if it applies
  • What the caterer needs from your venue
  • Allergen information for each dish
  • The wet-weather plan

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Common questions in Pixham

Could you serve in Deepdene Terrace?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.

What’s the nearest station to Pixham for guests?

Pixham has its own station: Dorking station.

Do you need electricity?

Let us know what’s available on site, such as a supply from the venue near where we will park, and we will confirm what we need with your quote.

What’s on the menu?

Tacos and taco bars, plus burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas. See our sample menu.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes, children are welcome. Let us know numbers and ages, and we’ll suggest mild options.

Is the food made fresh?

Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

What is mobile Mexican catering?

We arrive with our own mobile kitchen. We set up, serve your guests and clear away when service ends.

How much is a food truck for an event?

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you actually need. Tell us your date and numbers for a clear quote.

Space, access and the venue

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but a few things matter:

  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a catering vehicle

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
