Mexican catering in River

Mexican catering in River, served fresh

Mexican street food makes mixed diets simple. We plan vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, and we give allergen information for every dish. For engagement celebrations and christenings and family parties, we’ll put together a menu of loaded nachos, burrito bowls and burritos and more.

For a place the size of River, your own garden or drive is often the best venue: no venue to hire and no cooking for you. Tell us about access down the lane or drive. You’ll know what’s included before you book: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

For event organisers in River

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in River? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Give us the details and we will suggest a plan.

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Where the truck can go in River

Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We need:

  • Space for guests to queue
  • Clear vehicle access: gate widths, height limits and the ground checked before the day
  • Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

Is Mexican catering right for your event?

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. A food truck or trailer is its own kitchen, and needs a suitable spot, safe access and the venue’s agreement. Pricing depends on the event. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Your quote sets it all out.

What we offer in River

  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both
  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests
  • We cover River and the whole of Kent
  • Service planned around your numbers

Read how we price and the cost guide.

What’s on the menu

Quesadillas

Quesadillas are simple and comforting, and they go down well with children.

Burritos and burrito bowls

A burrito is a meal in one. The bowl version suits anyone avoiding tortillas.

Diets, allergies and planning

With a little notice, most diets are easy. We suggest:

  • Tell us about coeliac guests, not just gluten-free preferences
  • Confirm the venue is happy to have a catering vehicle
  • Have a covered area ready in case of rain
  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP

We arrive early enough to set up calmly. Someone from the venue just needs to point us to the agreed spot.

Tell us if you need plates, cutlery or serving staff and we will confirm what’s possible with your quote.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

Choosing a Mexican caterer

The process

Once service is over, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. Daylight in River runs to about 8:45pm in late May and 7:00pm in late September. If your event carries on later, tell us what lighting the venue has.

  1. It begins with the basics: your date, venue, guest numbers and dietary needs.
  2. We suggest a sample menu and send a quote for your event.
  3. Before the day, we agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. On the day we arrive, set up and serve hot food from our truck or trailer.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day

Your questions about Mexican catering in River

Can you serve near the sea around River?

We can, given firm ground and the landowner’s permission. Beaches and promenades usually need the council’s agreement, so check that first.

Could you serve in Old Park Hill?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we will help with the information they need from us.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus, and we’ll tell you which dishes contain milk.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we’ll check the licensing with you.

Do you cater for big events?

It depends on the event. Most bookings fall around 50 to 400 guests, but tell us your numbers and we will plan around them.

Do you give allergen information?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, with allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

How does your Mexican catering work?

We arrive with our own mobile kitchen. We set up, serve your guests and clear away when service ends.

Which areas do you serve?

London and South East England: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
