Mexican catering in Tadworth, served fresh

Our food truck or trailer travels to events across Tadworth and nearby: private gardens, venue grounds, courtyards and fields. At festivals, fairs and markets and wedding breakfasts and evening food, we can serve fresh salsas and guacamole, a build-your-own taco bar and tacos for your guests.

In a smaller place like Tadworth, your own garden, drive or a local hall is often the simplest option: no venue to hire and no cooking for you. Let us know about the route to the house. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our food truck or trailer.

How the day works

Service is quick and friendly: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our area. In Tadworth, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening events are typically served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. Send us your date, numbers and venue.
  2. We plan a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We confirm the way in and where we’ll park.
  4. Food is served from the hatch or a taco-bar table.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Getting ready for the day

  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Ask the venue about power and water

FAQs for Tadworth

Do you cater in the Surrey Hills National Landscape?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and catering, so check with yours. We will follow the site rules.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of the Good Shepherd?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

How is the food prepared?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Can you cater in a back garden?

It depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Tell us about the space and we’ll advise.

Do you have vegan options?

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote, and we will keep their options separate.

Who clears up?

Our area is packed away and left tidy. Tell us the venue’s rules on waste and clearing up and we’ll talk it through.

What is mobile Mexican catering?

We park our truck or trailer at your venue and serve hot Mexican street food from it. A build-your-own taco bar is another option.

Are plates and napkins included?

That’s confirmed with each quote. Let us know what the venue supplies.

Who books Mexican catering in Tadworth?

The food is bright and generous that fits informal events.

We can help if you’re planning any of the following:

Planners, venues and businesses

Organising a club, school or community event in Tadworth? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Tell us about the event and we will suggest a menu.

For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so guests are looked after quickly. Let us know how long the break is.

Prices and what affects them

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • Parking and the route in
  • How long we’re needed on site
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Ask us for a quote.

Getting an accurate quote

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • The venue or postcode
  • Roughly how many adults and children

Not sure what you need yet? That’s fine: give us the basics about your event, and we’ll suggest a menu. When you are ready, use our quote form.

We cater in all 395 towns and villages in Surrey, from the larger towns to small villages, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. We cater right across the region, from Tadworth to London (15 miles away).

When the service is at a church such as Church of the Good Shepherd, the food typically happens elsewhere, at a field, hall or garden with room for the truck. For a fête or sports day at a school such as Tadworth Primary School, hot food from a truck or trailer saves the volunteers from cooking. With the Surrey Hills National Landscape about 5 miles away at most, a rural setting is never far from Tadworth. Country lanes there can be narrow and verges soft, so tell us about the route in.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Planning the serving area

We serve from a truck or trailer, so the spot needs a little planning. Here’s what we look for:

  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch
  • Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before you book.
