Mexican catering in Thrupp, served fresh

Food from a truck or trailer feels relaxed. Guests come up to the hatch, chat while they wait and take something hot back to their seats. It works well for office lunches and team days and big birthday celebrations, serving loaded nachos, burrito bowls and quesadillas.

In a small place like Thrupp, events are usually in a garden, a field or a nearby hall. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Organising for someone else?

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we will keep everyone informed on the day.

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

Step by step

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. In Thrupp, the sun sets at about 9:30pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so summer evening events are generally served in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.

  1. First, send us your date, venue, numbers and any diets we should know about.
  2. We suggest a sample menu and send a quote for your event.
  3. We check access, power and water with you or the venue.
  4. On the day we arrive, set up and serve hot food from our food truck or trailer.
  5. When service ends, we pack down and clear our area.

A taco bar is relaxed and sociable, and guests with different diets can choose what suits them.

What affects the price in Thrupp

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • Food, drinks or both
  • Serving staff
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • The length of service

Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so share your ideas with us. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

Details that help

These details help us quote quickly:

  • The address or venue name
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Expected numbers
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground

Getting a quote is simple: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We will send you a clear quote and a suggested menu.

Planning for every diet

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because options can be kept separate. A few tips:

  • Ask guests about diets and allergies with your invitations
  • Tell us what other food is being served
  • Plan a vegan filling as well as a vegetarian one
  • Plan somewhere covered for guests to eat if it rains

Rain does not stop us serving from the truck or trailer, though guests need somewhere under cover to eat.

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can be added from our drinks bar, with licensing checked with you.

Is Mexican catering right for your event?

For food that feels relaxed but generous, tacos, burritos and nachos make a strong choice for your event in Thrupp. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site
  • Space for a taco-bar table if you’ve chosen one

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before you book.
