Mexican catering near Trench Green

Can I do a taco night myself?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Mexican catering in Trench Green, from our food truck or trailer

A build-your-own taco bar is one of the most sociable ways to feed a crowd. Everyone builds their own tacos from what’s laid out, so each plate is exactly how they like it. On the menu are a build-your-own taco bar, tacos and burritos, which works well for markets and community events and engagement celebrations.

For a rural spot like Trench Green, fields and drives need a little planning: gate widths, soft ground and the distance from the road all matter. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements with you. Guests are served from our food truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

The process

When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. A December event in Trench Green will be in the dark from about 3:55pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:25pm.

  1. Share the date, the venue and how many are coming.
  2. Together we plan a menu around your guests’ diets.
  3. We confirm the way in and where we’ll park.
  4. Guests order at the hatch or build their own at the taco bar.
  5. We clear our serving area when everyone is fed.

Dietary needs and planning tips

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Try these:

  • Include at least one vegan filling
  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP
  • Count children separately
  • Let us know if a guest is coeliac

We have allergen information for every dish at the hatch, and guests are welcome to ask before ordering.

Ask about extra salsas and toppings for a bigger spread.

How it compares

If you want food that feels relaxed without being basic, a taco bar or a menu of tacos, burritos and nachos is hard to beat. Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we will set out what’s included.

Why book with us

  • Allergen information for every dish
  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch
  • Book food, drinks or both
  • A plan agreed before the day

Trench Green questions

Do you come out to small places like Trench Green?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking for the truck or trailer.

We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Margaret and Bardolf Aisle: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Do you serve in the rain?

We serve from the truck or trailer whatever the weather, though guests need a covered place to eat.

What food and drinks do you offer?

Mexican street food and drinks: tacos, taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar.

Do you cater for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free guests?

We can. There are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests. Allergen information is available for every dish.

How much does Mexican catering cost?

We do not publish set prices, because every event is different. Send your details and you will get a quote for your event.

How soon do we need to book?

As soon as you have a date. Peak dates go quickly, so contact us early.

Can you plan for allergies?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

What’s on the menu

Quesadillas

Toasted tortillas with melted cheese inside, cut into wedges.

Tacos

Street tacos are small, quick and full of flavour. They come with fresh salsas and toppings.

Planning the serving area

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:

  • Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer
  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking
  • A spot for a taco-bar serving table

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

What we offer

  • Quesadillas
  • Loaded nachos
  • Tacos
  • Burrito bowls
  • Build-your-own taco bar
  • Burritos

How we price Mexican catering

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • What’s on the menu
  • Guest numbers
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Whether you need disposables

If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

What to tell us

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • What power and water the site has
  • Where the event is
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

We quote for each event separately, based on what you need. For a quote, use our quote form.
