Common questions in Vale of Health
What’s the nearest station to Vale of Health for guests?
Guests can use Hampstead Heath station, about 0.7 miles south-east of Vale of Health.
Can you cater a reception after a service at Christ Church?
Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.
Can you run a bar?
Yes, we do. Our drinks bar can be booked on its own or with food, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. We’ll check the licensing for alcohol with you.
Do you need power and water?
That depends on the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Let us know whether there’s a supply near where we’ll park.
Can you serve in the rain?
We can serve from the hatch in the rain. It’s worth planning a covered area for guests, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.
What access do you need?
Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, and the venue’s agreement. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.
Where do you cater?
London and the South East: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, including Vale of Health.
What’s on the menu?
We agree the menu with each client, with fillings such as chicken tinga, carnitas or black beans. Take a look at the sample menu.
Mexican catering in Vale of Health, served fresh
Our truck and trailer service tends to suit around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case, so let us know how many you expect. It suits summer garden parties and engagement and anniversary parties, serving fresh salsas and guacamole, tacos and burritos.
Around Vale of Health, parking and loading are the main things to plan for a truck or trailer. Narrow streets, permit bays and yellow lines all affect where we can stop, so let us know about off-street space, or whether the council will need to suspend a parking bay. All of Greater London, Vale of Health included, is inside the ULEZ. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

Planning the serving area
Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but there are a few things to check:
- Space for guests to queue
- Details of power and water on site, agreed when you book
- Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer
In Vale of Health, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.
Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

DIY taco night or a caterer?
A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.
Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.
