How we price Mexican catering

We quote for your event, and the price is based on:

  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • The menu you choose
  • Timings and hours
  • Food, drinks or both

What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so tell us what you have in mind. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Details that help

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:

  • The address or venue name
  • Your menu ideas
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Roughly how many adults and children

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. When you are ready, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Mexican catering in West Langdon, served fresh

Keep it simple or go further: a taco menu, or tacos plus loaded nachos, quesadillas and burrito bowls. Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can come from our drinks bar, with licensing checked with you. Popular choices include fresh salsas and guacamole, a build-your-own taco bar and burrito bowls, and it’s a good fit for fundraisers and school events and leaving dos and retirement parties.

In a rural place like West Langdon, access is the main thing to plan: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. We confirm power and water arrangements with you before the day. We plan the timings around your day, so service starts when you want it.

We’ll be honest if a space won’t work, and help find another spot. The main points are:

  • Permission from the venue or landowner
  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

The process

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. Rain does not normally stop us serving, but guests will need somewhere covered. In West Langdon, the sun sets at about 9:15pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. It begins with the basics: your date, venue, guest numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested menu, with fillings agreed with you, and a quote.
  3. Together we confirm where the truck or trailer will park, plus power and water.
  4. On the day we arrive, set up and serve hot food from our food truck or trailer.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Find out what power and water are available
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain

Catering an event in West Langdon

West Langdon is about 3 miles north of Dover, in Kent. We serve at events in homes, gardens and venues in West Langdon and the surrounding area. West Langdon is one of 922 towns and villages in Kent we cover. Our nearest city page is Canterbury, about 12 miles away.

Close to West Langdon are historic houses such as Walmer Castle (3.9 miles north-east). If your event is at a historic house or estate, check its rules on outside caterers and vehicles early. For guests coming by train, Martin Mill station is about 1.4 miles away. West Langdon is within about 4 miles of the sea, so for a seaside event we plan around the wind. Planners, venues and businesses

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

Diets, allergies and planning

Every guest is catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included. To get it right:

  • Plan a vegan filling as well as a vegetarian one
  • Ask guests with severe allergies to talk to us before the event
  • Send allergy details to us in writing
  • Tell us how many children are coming

We can still serve from the hatch if it rains, but guests will need somewhere covered to eat.

Ask about extra salsas and toppings for a bigger spread.

Common questions in West Langdon

Can you serve near the sea around West Langdon?

Yes, as long as the site allows it and the ground is firm. Seafront and beach spots generally need permission, and wind is the main thing to plan for.

Which station should guests use for West Langdon?

The closest is Martin Mill station, roughly 1.4 miles away.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we’ll check the licensing with you.

Who clears up?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

What do you need at the venue?

Level, firm ground, access for the truck or trailer and the venue’s agreement. Power and water are confirmed with each booking.

How does your Mexican catering work?

Our truck or trailer is a mobile kitchen. We set up, serve your guests and clear away when service ends.

Can you serve in the rain?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, like a marquee or gazebo.

When should we book?

The sooner the better. Peak dates go quickly, so get in touch early.

Comparing your options

Compared with a hog roast or barbecue, Mexican street food is easier for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests, because fillings and toppings are kept separate. Pricing depends on the event. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.
