For planners, venues and organisers
If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.
Throwing a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we will tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.
Mexican bar hire in Cooper's Corner, served fresh
Alcohol at an event needs the right licence: a premises licence at the venue, or a Temporary Event Notice. We check the licensing with you before the day. It works well for engagement celebrations and winter celebrations, serving soft drinks, agua de jamaica and horchata.
In a rural spot like Cooper's Corner, drinks can be served from our food truck or trailer in a garden, field or by a marquee, as long as we can get in. We will go through the licensing with you. We plan the timings around your day, whether that’s speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

What affects the price in Cooper's Corner
Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, depending on:
- What the venue already provides
- Your choice of food and drinks
- The number of people
- Food, drinks or both
A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:
- Gate widths, slopes and the ground
- Where the event is
- A picture of where we’d park
- Any dietary needs and allergies
We need only a few details to quote: date, location, guest numbers and diets. Contact us for a quote: just send us your details through our quote form.

Planning the bar
A few tips to help the bar run smoothly:
- Tell us when the bar should open and close
- Let us know how many non-drinkers to expect
- Have plenty of water available
- Add food if the bar runs for a while
There are always alcohol-free options.
Ask us about glassware or cups and we’ll set out the options.
What we need at the venue
Everything is served from our truck or trailer, so the spot needs a little planning. These are the things we check:
- A clear area in front of the bar
- A bar spot away from homes
- Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.
Menu ideas
- Mexican beer
- Soft drinks
- Horchata
- Fruit aguas frescas
- Margaritas
- Agua de jamaica (hibiscus)
The process
The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we’ll help you choose a spot with room for a queue. We can serve in the rain, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. At midsummer, it’s light in Cooper's Corner until about 9:15pm, ideal for drinks outdoors. In late September it’s dark around 7:00pm, and in December by about 3:55pm, so evening bars need lighting.
- First, we check your date.
- We suggest margaritas, beer, aguas frescas and alcohol-free choices.
- We confirm power, water and the bar spot.
- The bar opens at the agreed time.
- We tidy up at the end.
Before we arrive
- Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
- Ask the venue about power and water
- Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready

Questions from Cooper's Corner
Will you travel to a small place like Cooper's Corner?
Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.
Could you serve in Collingwood Nature Reserve?
Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we will help with the information they need from us.
What do you need at the venue?
A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, plus the venue’s permission. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.
What do you serve?
Mexican street food and drinks: tacos, taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. A drinks bar is available too.
Do you have alcohol-free drinks?
Always. Aguas frescas and soft drinks are alcohol-free, along with soft drinks.
Do you do drinks only?
Of course. Our Mexican catering can be added too.
Do you provide bar staff?
We bring bar staff, and serve throughout the agreed hours.
What happens if it rains?
Rain does not generally stop service from the truck or trailer. It is worth planning a covered area for guests, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.

Should I do it myself?
You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.
Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.
