How it works

We get there well before you want to serve, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. At midsummer, it is light in Dagenham until about 9:20pm, ideal for drinks outdoors. By late September, sunset is about 7:05pm, and in December it is dark by about 3:50pm, so plan lighting around the bar.

  1. You tell us the date, venue, guest numbers and the drinks you have in mind.
  2. We talk licensing through with you: the venue’s licence or a Temporary Event Notice.
  3. We put together a drinks menu, with alcohol-free choices, and quote for it.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.
  5. We pack away when the bar shuts and leave the area tidy.

Dagenham questions

Which station is closest to Dagenham?

The closest is Dagenham Dock station, roughly 1.2 miles away.

We are having a ceremony at St. Peter and St. Paul: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

What’s on the drinks menu?

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, plus soft drinks. We plan the list with you.

What do you need at the venue?

The main things are access and a level spot: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a photo and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we’ll suggest mild options.

Where do you cater?

We cover London and the South East, Greater London included. Find your area.

How big an event can you cater?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but our truck and trailer service usually suits around 50 to 400 guests. Tell us your numbers and we will advise.

Do you have alcohol-free drinks?

There are always alcohol-free options, from aguas frescas to soft drinks.

Tips for a smooth bar

To get the most from the bar, it helps to:

  • Make sure there is water for guests
  • Ask guests about allergies
  • Plan transport home for guests
  • Plan alcohol-free drinks for drivers

We set up the bar before guests arrive.

Extra bar staff for busy events, quoted for your event.

Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

Why choose Mexican bar hire in Dagenham?

A themed bar adds a talking point, more than a standard bar.

These are some of the occasions we serve around Dagenham:

  • Launch parties
  • Weddings, day or evening
  • Taco nights and themed parties
  • Winter celebrations

Serving alcohol in Beam Valley Country Park would need the owner’s permission and probably a licence, so a garden or venue is often simpler.

What your quote should include

  • If the price includes VAT
  • Payment terms and deposit
  • Exactly what’s included in the price
  • Where to see their hygiene rating
