Mexican bar hire in Shoreditch, from our food truck or trailer

The margarita is the star of the bar: lime, tequila and orange liqueur, served cold, with or without a salted rim. For anniversaries and engagements and staff parties, we can serve alcohol-free drinks, Mexican beer and soft drinks for your guests.

A Mexican drinks bar works well for receptions and parties in Shoreditch. As with any London event, parking and loading need planning, and all of Greater London is inside the ULEZ. If alcohol is being served, we’ll go through the licensing with you and your venue. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Is Mexican bar hire right for your event?

Bring-your-own is simple but uneven. A staffed bar means everyone is served, including non-drinkers. Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so tell us what you have in mind. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.

Why us?

  • Options for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests
  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • Book food, drinks or both
  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer

Popular choices

Soft drinks

Every bar has alcohol-free choices.

Horchata

Horchata is popular with all ages.

Space, access and the venue

Everything is served from our truck or trailer, so the spot needs a little planning. Here’s what we look for:

  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking
  • The right licence for alcohol: the venue’s licence or a Temporary Event Notice
  • Room for a queue

In Shoreditch, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.

What we offer

  • Horchata
  • Mexican beer
  • Margaritas
  • Agua de jamaica (hibiscus)
  • Fruit aguas frescas
  • Soft drinks

How we price Mexican bar hire

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, depending on:

  • What the venue already provides
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Travel, parking and access

Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you choose what goes in.

Details that help

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:

  • Where the event is
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • A picture of the space, if it’s a garden or field

To get a price, just tell us about it on our contact page. Tell us about your event in Shoreditch, and we’ll put together a menu and price.

The process

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, but guests will need somewhere covered. By late September, sunset in Shoreditch comes at roughly 7:05pm, so margaritas after that will be served under lights. A late-May event keeps its daylight until about 8:50pm.

  1. Send us your date, venue, numbers and drinks ideas.
  2. Together we check how alcohol will be licensed at your event.
  3. We put together a drinks menu, with alcohol-free choices, and quote for it.
  4. On the day we set up the bar and our bar staff serve your guests.
  5. After service, we clear the bar away.

How to prepare

  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park

Shoreditch questions

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Artillery Ground?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.

Could you serve our guests after a service at St Leonard's Church?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

What drinks do you serve?

Margaritas and Mexican beer, with aguas frescas like horchata and agua de jamaica, plus alcohol-free choices.

Can you serve in the rain?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. It’s worth planning a covered area for guests, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.

When do you arrive?

It depends on your event. Timings are agreed in advance so everything fits your schedule.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

That is confirmed with each quote. Let us know what the venue supplies.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

Truck and trailer service usually suits around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Tell us your numbers.

What do you serve?

Mexican street food: tacos, taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar.

Tips for a smooth bar

A few tips to help the bar run smoothly:

  • Ensure drivers have good choices
  • Give us numbers for children
  • Plan water alongside the bar
  • Pair the bar with hot food

We can give allergen information for every drink, so guests can check before ordering.

Aguas frescas for children and non-drinkers.

Should I do it myself?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

For event organisers in Shoreditch

Events in public spaces, like parks, usually need permission. We will provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can plan ahead.
