Mexican bar hire for Rise Park events

DIY taco night or a caterer?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

Aguas frescas are light, fruity drinks: hibiscus agua de jamaica, horchata, tamarind and fruit waters. They’re a good alcohol-free choice for everyone. It works well for launch parties and licensed festivals, serving alcohol-free drinks, agua de jamaica and aguas frescas.

Around Rise Park, a courtyard or forecourt the truck or trailer can reach is ideal. Let us know about parking, permits and any parking suspension. We plan the timings around your day, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

For event organisers in Rise Park

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We’ll provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

How it works

When we arrive, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. We are ready to serve at the agreed time, planned around your event. Winter receptions in Rise Park are dark by about 3:50pm in December, so plan where guests will gather, and how it will be lit. Midsummer is the opposite, with daylight until about 9:20pm.

  1. Send us your date, venue, numbers and drinks ideas.
  2. We talk through licensing with you, whether that is the venue’s licence or a Temporary Event Notice.
  3. You get a suggested drinks menu and a quote.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.
  5. After service, we clear the bar away.

Is Mexican bar hire right for your event?

Leaving guests to bring their own is easy but unpredictable. A staffed bar means everyone is served, including non-drinkers. Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

Why book with us

  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • Served fresh from our food truck or trailer

Rise Park questions

We’re having a ceremony at St James: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

What about parking in Rise Park?

London parking needs planning: let us know about permits or off-street space. A parking suspension may be needed, and the whole of Greater London is inside the ULEZ.

Which areas do you serve?

We cover London and the South East, including Greater London. See all areas.

How is the food prepared?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Do you need electricity?

It depends on the event and the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

How much is the bar?

We do not publish set prices, because every event is different. Send your details for a quote.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu, served alongside the meat options.

What’s on the menu?

Mexican street food and drinks: tacos, taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas, plus salsas, guacamole and toppings. A drinks bar is available too, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

Tips for a smooth bar

A few tips to help the bar run smoothly:

  • Pair the bar with hot food
  • Make sure drivers have good choices
  • Plan transport home for guests
  • Plan water alongside the bar

There are always alcohol-free options, including aguas frescas.

Add our Mexican catering for tacos, burritos and nachos.

What we need at the venue

If a space is not suitable, we will tell you, and help find another spot. The main points are:

  • A premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice in place
  • Vehicle access near the bar
  • Agreement from the venue for our bar

As a London location, Rise Park is inside the ULEZ, and parking and loading take planning: tell us about parking bays, permits, a driveway or whether a parking suspension is needed.

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.
