Mexican bar hire for Surrey Canal events

Should I do it myself?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

About our Mexican bar hire in Surrey Canal

Our bar travels to events across Surrey Canal and nearby: from weddings and parties to work events. It works well for product launches and client events and end-of-year and Christmas parties, serving margaritas, aguas frescas and agua de jamaica.

Around Surrey Canal, a courtyard or forecourt the truck or trailer can reach is ideal. Tell us about narrow streets, permit bays or a parking suspension. You’ll know what’s included before booking: menu, timings and any add-ons.

What happens on the day

Service is quick and friendly: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. Afterwards we clear our area. At midsummer, it’s light in Surrey Canal until about 9:20pm, so evening drinks can be served in daylight. In late September it is dark around 7:05pm, and in December by about 3:55pm, so evening bars need lighting.

What affects the price in Surrey Canal

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • The menu you choose
  • The length of service

Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you choose what goes in.

Getting an accurate quote

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • A picture of the space, if it’s a garden or field

We need only a few details to quote: date, location, guest numbers and diets. Contact us for a quote: just use our quote form.

Tips for a smooth bar

A few tips to help the bar run smoothly:

  • Find out if you need a Temporary Event Notice
  • Give the council notice in good time for a Temporary Event Notice
  • Make sure drivers have good choices
  • Let us know how many non-drinkers to expect

Bar staff serve for the agreed times.

Aguas frescas for children and non-drinkers.

What we need at the venue

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but a few things matter:

  • Vehicle access near the bar
  • A premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice in place
  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking

In Surrey Canal, as everywhere in Greater London, the ULEZ applies and kerb space is limited. Where will the truck or trailer stop? A drive, a courtyard or a suspended bay can all work.

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

On the menu in Surrey Canal

Your questions about Mexican bar hire in Surrey Canal

What about parking in Surrey Canal?

That depends on the street. A drive, a courtyard or a bay suspended by the council can all work, so tell us what’s outside your venue. The ULEZ covers all of Greater London.

Could you serve in Deptford Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.

Do you do drinks only?

Yes, though it pairs well with tacos. Our Mexican catering can be added too.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we’ll check the licensing with you.

What about power on site?

Let us know what’s available on site, for example a supply from the venue, and we will confirm the arrangements with your quote.

Do you cover Surrey Canal?

We do. We serve at events in Surrey Canal and across Greater London. Send us your date to check availability.

Can you cater for children?

Yes. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

Do you have alcohol-free drinks?

Yes. Aguas frescas such as agua de jamaica and horchata are alcohol-free, along with soft drinks.
