The process

It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up our food truck or trailer, and get on with serving. A summer drinks reception in The Brents has daylight until about 9:15pm at midsummer, so evening drinks can be served in daylight. In late September it’s dark around 7:00pm, and in December by about 3:50pm, so evening bars need lighting.

  1. Send us the date, venue and numbers.
  2. We talk licensing through with you.
  3. We agree a drinks menu.
  4. We serve drinks responsibly on the day.
  5. We pack down when the bar closes.

Getting ready for the day

  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
  • Give us your final numbers and diets

For planners, venues and organisers

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so everyone is served promptly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

Hosting a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we will tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

Before you choose a spot

We’ll agree the spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • A bar spot away from homes
  • The right licence for alcohol: the venue’s licence or a Temporary Event Notice
  • Vehicle access near the bar

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

What we offer

  • Fruit aguas frescas
  • Horchata
  • Mexican beer
  • Agua de jamaica (hibiscus)
  • Margaritas
  • Soft drinks

Should I do it myself?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

How far is The Brents from London?

It’s about 44 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Tell us what glassware you need and we will confirm the options with your quote.

Alcohol-free guests get more than squash.

Whatever the occasion, our truck or trailer can be the centre of it. We are happy to cater:

  • Taco nights and themed parties

Serving alcohol in Oare Meadow would need the owner’s permission and probably a licence, so a garden or venue is often simpler.
