How our wedding Mexican catering works in The Brents

We time service around your day: after the drinks reception, between the speeches or once evening guests arrive. We go over timings with your venue beforehand. It works well for engagement parties and weddings with mixed diets, serving a taco bar for the wedding breakfast, fresh guacamole and salsas and evening tacos.

In The Brents, a local ceremony and a marquee reception is a personal choice. A food truck by the marquee suits that kind of day. Tell us about access to the field or garden. We prepare everything fresh for your wedding and serve it straight from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

Planning the serving area

Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We look for:

  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • Clear vehicle access: gate widths, height limits and the ground checked before the day
  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a catering vehicle

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.

Prices and what affects them

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Timings and hours
  • The menu you choose
  • Food, drinks or both
  • Distance and access to the venue

The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

What to tell us

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:

  • Your menu ideas
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • The address or venue name

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. When you’re ready, send us your details through our quote form.

For planners, venues and organisers

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

If you are booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

Questions from The Brents

Can you cater a reception after a service at Faversham Parish Church?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Which station should guests use for The Brents?

Faversham station, about 0.6 miles south of the centre.

How is the food prepared?

We slow-cook fillings ahead, then finish them and keep them hot at your event. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes. Our drinks bar can be booked on its own or with food. For alcohol, we will check the licensing with you and your venue.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will plan the menu with them in mind.

Is the food very hot?

That’s your choice: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately. Read more about how spicy Mexican food is.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need dairy-free food, and we’ll include them in the plan.

Should I do it myself?

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Burrito bowls

A burrito bowl is a good alternative to tacos.

Salsas and guacamole

The salsas and guacamole finish every plate.

How it works

Expect a friendly, organised team. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, get the serving area ready, and get on with serving. December weddings in The Brents lose the light by about 3:50pm, so evening guests will be queuing in the dark. Ask your venue what outdoor lighting it has near where we will park.

  1. You send us your wedding date, venue, numbers and how you see the day.
  2. Together we choose a taco bar, evening food or both, and we send a quote.
  3. We confirm access, the serving spot and the running order with the venue.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve the food at the agreed times.
  5. Once service is done, we pack away quietly.

How to prepare

  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Tell us when you want service to start

Catering for every guest

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Have cover for guests if the weather turns

  • Put us in touch with your venue

If speeches or photos run over, tell us, and we will adjust when we serve so the food is still hot.

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
