Mexican party catering in The Mint, from our truck or trailer
It’s easy to cater for all ages and diets. There are vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, and quesadillas go down well with children, with allergen information for every dish. At engagement and anniversary parties and retirement and leaving parties, we can serve tacos, loaded nachos and burritos for your guests.
In a small place like The Mint, a party in the garden or a nearby field is often the plan. Tell us about lanes, gates and the ground, and we will plan around it. You can book food, drinks or both, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.
Organising for someone else?
Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.
Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.
Space, access and the venue
Every venue is different, so we ask about the space before we confirm. In general, we need:
- Permission from the venue or landowner
- Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
- A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before booking.
What Mexican party catering costs
Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:
- What the venue already provides
- How long we’re needed on site
- Parking and the route in
- How many guests we’re serving
Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Your quote confirms the full price.
Details that help
A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:
- Diets and allergies you know about
- Expected numbers
- Gate widths, slopes and the ground
- Your menu ideas
A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. To send your details, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Salsas and guacamole
Salsas go on the side, so guests choose the heat.
Build-your-own taco bar
The taco bar is where guests gather.
Can I do a taco night myself?
You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.
You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Common questions in The Mint
Can you cater a reception after a service at Hope Church?
Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.
Do you come to events in the South Downs National Park?
Yes, though some venues in protected landscapes have extra rules; ask your venue. Tell us about narrow lanes and soft ground.
Do you provide allergen information for each dish?
Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, with allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we cannot promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.
Can you serve from my drive or garden?
That depends on the way in and the ground. Tell us about gates, slopes and soft lawns, and we’ll confirm.
Can you do a kids’ option?
Of course. Quesadillas and simple tacos go down well with children, and salsas go on the side. Include children in your numbers.
Is the food made fresh?
Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.
Do you have vegan options?
We can. We plan vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests. Allergen information is available for every dish.
Do you cater for vegetarian guests?
Yes. We can include vegetarian and vegan fillings like black beans or spiced mushrooms, served alongside the meat options.

How it works
Expect a friendly, organised team. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our truck or trailer, and get on with serving. In The Mint, it is light until about 9:20pm in June but dark by about 4:00pm in December, so the time of year shapes an evening party.
