About our Mexican party catering in Winnall

A build-your-own taco bar is ideal for a party: everyone builds their own tacos from the fillings and toppings, so fussy eaters and adventurous ones are both happy. For graduation and exam-results parties and garden parties, we can serve tacos, guacamole and salsas and loaded nachos for your guests.

In a place like Winnall, a garden party is usually the easiest option. Let us know how the truck or trailer can reach the garden, and we’ll do the rest. Your quote sets out what’s included: menu, timings and any add-ons.

Mexican party catering or something else?

Compared with a barbecue, a food truck serves steadily from the start, and there’s no host stuck at the grill. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we’ll set out what’s included.

Why book with us

  • Access, space and power checked in advance
  • Options for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests
  • Book food, drinks or both
  • A quote that sets out what’s included

See our prices page or the cost guide.

Can I do a taco night myself?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Questions from Winnall

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of St John the Baptist?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Which station is closest to Winnall?

Guests can use Winchester station, about 1 mile west of Winnall.

How is the food prepared?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Do you come to Winnall?

We do. Winnall is one of the places we cover. Tell us your date and we’ll check availability.

Do you need electricity?

It depends on the event and the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there is a supply near where we’ll park.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, gluten-free options are available, made with corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?

How far ahead should we book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.

How spicy is the food?

That’s your choice: we can keep it mild and put the hotter salsas on the side.

Organising for someone else?

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Winnall? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Tell us about the event and we will suggest a menu.

Diets, allergies and planning

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Let the neighbours know
  • Tell us about any severe allergies before the party
  • Put out bins for general waste and recycling
  • Give separate numbers for children

Allergen information is available for every dish.

Loaded nachos to share while the party gets going.

How we price Mexican party catering

Your quote will be clear. The main things that affect it are:

  • How many staff you need
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • The number of people
  • Your choice of food and drinks

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What we need to know

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Roughly how many adults and children

The quickest way to a quote is to tell us about it on our contact page. Give us the details of your party, and we will put together a menu and price.

How the day works

We arrive in good time before service, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens. Sunset in Winnall ranges from about 9:25pm at midsummer to about 4:00pm in December, so autumn and winter parties need more thought about lighting.

  1. It starts with your date, the address, numbers and diets.
  2. We put a menu together and quote for it.
  3. We check the space and access for the truck or trailer.
  4. We set up and serve tacos and more while your guests enjoy the party.
  5. When everyone is fed, we clear our area.

Getting ready for the day

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
