  • Some distance from houses and neighbours
  • Licensing checked with you before the day
  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before booking.

What happens on the day

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up our truck or trailer, and get on with serving. A late-September party in Winnall loses the light at about 7:10pm, so a bar running later in the evening needs lamps or festoons. A late-May event keeps its daylight until about 8:55pm.

  1. You tell us the date, venue, guest numbers and the drinks you have in mind.
  2. We go through the licensing with you: the venue’s licence or a Temporary Event Notice.
  3. We put together a drinks menu, with alcohol-free choices, and quote for it.
  4. On the day we set up the bar and our bar staff serve your guests.
  5. When the bar closes, we pack down and clear our area.

Getting ready for the day

For planners, venues and organisers

Events in public spaces, like parks, generally need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so everyone is served promptly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

FAQs for Winnall

How far is Winnall from London?

It is about 60 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Could you serve in St. Cross Park?

Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Ask them first, and we’ll help with the information they need from us.

Do you follow the rules on serving alcohol?

Our bar staff serve responsibly: under-18s get alcohol-free drinks only, and we offer water and alcohol-free choices throughout.

What do you need at the venue?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, and the venue’s agreement. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.

How long are you on site?

We get there well before service to set up. Serving times are agreed with you in advance.

What’s on the drinks menu?

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, plus soft drinks. We plan the list with you.

How many guests can you serve?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but our truck and trailer service typically suits around 50 to 400 guests. For anything outside that, ask us.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, using corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can talk through how their food is prepared. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?

Drinks planning tips

Some planning tips for the drinks:

  • Allow time for a Temporary Event Notice if one is needed
  • Think about how guests get home
  • Have plenty of water available
  • Give us numbers for children

There are always alcohol-free options, including aguas frescas.

Aguas frescas for children and non-drinkers.

Mexican bar hire or something else?

Some bars offer little for non-drinkers. Our aguas frescas are made for them. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

A Mexican drinks bar in Winnall: local tips

Winnall is about 1 mile north-east of Winchester, in Hampshire. Anywhere in SO23, we’ll come to your venue or site. Winnall is one of 683 towns and villages in Hampshire where we can bring Mexican bar hire. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Winnall to Southampton (about 11 miles away).

If you’re looking at a historic venue around Winnall, check its rules on outside bars and vehicles early. Serving alcohol in St. Cross Park would need the owner’s permission and probably a licence, so a garden or venue is often simpler.

How we price Mexican bar hire

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Guest numbers
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • The length of service
  • What the venue already provides

There is no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican bar hire. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but these help:

  • The date and time of the event
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • The venue or postcode
