Mexican street food for your event in Arlington

Our food is easy to eat standing up or on the grass, which suits festival crowds. It works well for race days and sports events and outdoor screenings, with tacos, loaded nachos and burritos.

At a field event near Arlington, power and water may be limited; let us know and we’ll confirm the arrangements. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Where the truck can go in Arlington

We’ll agree the spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • Vehicle access to the pitch for set-up and break-down
  • Your arrangements for power, water and waste
  • A level pitch on firm ground

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

Prices and what affects them

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • Parking and the route in
  • Timings and hours
  • How many guests we are serving

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

Getting an accurate quote

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • The date and time of the event
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

We quote for each event separately, so the price fits what you actually want. To ask for one, tell us about it on our contact page.

The process

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, but guests will need somewhere covered. At midsummer, events in Arlington stay light until about 9:15pm, so evening trading generally finishes in daylight in high summer. For winter markets, dark by about 3:55pm, the pitch needs lighting.

  1. Send us your event details and pitch information.
  2. We send our menu, needs and the documents you ask for.
  3. We set up in the agreed window.
  4. Orders are served from the hatch while the event runs.
  5. We clear and leave the pitch clean.

Getting ready for the day

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
  • Name one person we can ask on the day

Common questions in Arlington

Which station should guests use for Arlington?

Berwick (Sussex) station, about 1.2 miles west of the centre.

Do you come out to small places like Arlington?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

What paperwork do you provide?

Send your requirements and we’ll respond with our documents.

When should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it is soon.

What do you need at the venue?

The main things are access and a level spot: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a photo and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

Can you cater for children?

Of course. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

How much is a food truck for an event?

The price depends on numbers, menu, service time and where your event is. Send us the details for a quote.

Do you do a taco bar?

We can. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from.

Should I do it myself?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Mexican street food or something else?

For a stall that adds atmosphere, a Mexican food truck is a strong choice. There’s no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican street food. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Your quote sets it all out.
