How our Mexican street food works in Hampton Poyle

The menu is agreed with organisers, with fillings such as carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, plus a vegan option such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. It suits community days and festivals, serving vegan tacos, burrito bowls and burritos.

Near Hampton Poyle, events may be far from shops and cafés, so a hot-food truck is a big help. Guests are served from our truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

Your questions about Mexican street food in Hampton Poyle

Which station should guests use for Hampton Poyle?

Guests can use Islip station, about 1.5 miles south-east of Hampton Poyle.

Is Hampton Poyle close to London?

It is about 55 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Can you keep it mild?

It is up to you: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately.

What do you need at the pitch?

Tell us what’s available at the pitch and we’ll confirm what we need. We confirm power and water with each booking.

Where do you cater?

We cater across London and the South East, including Oxfordshire. See all areas.

How soon do we need to book?

As soon as you have a date. Peak dates go quickly, so get in touch early.

What does Mexican street food cost?

It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the length of service and the location. Send us the details for a quote.

What do you need at the venue?

Access and level ground matter most: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a photo and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

The process

Once service is over, we pack down and clear our own area. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. At midsummer, events in Hampton Poyle stay light until about 9:30pm, so evening trading normally finishes in daylight in high summer. For winter markets, dark by about 3:55pm, the pitch needs lighting.

  1. You send us the event, the dates and the pitch details.
  2. You get our stall menu, what we need at the pitch and the paperwork you request.
  3. We set up the truck or trailer on the pitch at the agreed time.
  4. We cook to order and serve through the agreed trading hours.
  5. When trading ends, we pack down and leave the pitch clean.

Before we arrive

  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Find out what power and water are available
