Mexican street food for Harvel events

How our Mexican street food works in Harvel

Festivals can be bigger than our usual 50 to 400 guests, so share expected numbers and trading hours and we will plan stock and service. At community days and food and music festivals, we can serve burritos, quesadillas and vegan tacos.

At a field event near Harvel, power and water may be limited; let us know and we’ll confirm the arrangements. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our truck or trailer.

Harvel questions

Is it possible to have you in Trosley Country Park?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we’ll help with the information they need from us.

Which station is closest to Harvel?

Guests can use Sole Street station, about 2.7 miles north of Harvel.

How much does Mexican street food cost in Harvel?

We quote for each event, so the price fits what you want. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas for a clear quote.

How long are you on site?

We arrive in good time to set up before service. The length of service is agreed when you book, along with pack-down.

Do you cook on site?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Do you give allergen information?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, with allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Can you come to a private house?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Send us a photo and we will talk it through.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes, on request. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we’ll include them in the plan.

Why choose Mexican street food in Harvel?

Food that sits in a hot cabinet is not much to look at. Everything we serve is assembled to order. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

What you get with us

  • Book food, drinks or both
  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • Access, space and power checked in advance
  • Menus chosen with you

See our pricing or the cost guide.

Planning for every diet

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Plan seating near the food area
  • Share vehicle access times with traders
  • Send traders one clear trader pack
  • Schedule crew meals

Crew meals are served at set times.

Bowls as a gluten-free choice.

Space, access and the venue

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but a few things matter:

  • A level pitch on firm ground
  • Vehicle access to the pitch for set-up and break-down
  • A pitch big enough for the truck or trailer and a queue

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

How the day works

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, get the serving area ready, and get on with serving. By late September, it’s dark in Harvel at around 7:00pm, so an evening programme will run partly after dusk. Organisers should plan that into the site layout.

  1. Send us your event details and pitch information.
  2. We send our menu, needs and the documents you ask for.
  3. We arrive and set up at the agreed time.
  4. Orders are served from the hatch while the event runs.
  5. We clear and leave the pitch clean.

How to prepare

  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers

Planning help

Who books Mexican street food in Harvel?

It suits outdoor events of all sizes.

Whatever the occasion, the serving truck can be a highlight. We can cater:

  • Sports club events
  • Feeding crew and volunteers
  • Music and food festivals
  • Open days and community events

A fundraiser for a church like Church of Our Lady of the Meadow might use a food truck to give visitors a reason to stay longer.

What your quote should include

  • Plates and napkins, or nothing at all
  • Payment terms and deposit
  • How many staff are serving, and for how long
  • Travel and parking costs

How to compare caterers

Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

For planners, venues and organisers

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.

Hosting a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about access, and we will tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.
