Planners, venues and businesses

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so guests are looked after quickly. Let us know how long the break is.

Hosting a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about access, and we will let you know if it’s a good fit.

Diets, allergies and planning

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Agree waste arrangements with traders
  • Provide seating near the food
  • Ask about peak-time capacity
  • Share vehicle access times with traders

We keep in touch with your traders’ contact on the day on any changes.

Catering for crew and hospitality areas.

Occasions we cater for in The Chart

It suits outdoor events of all sizes.

A truck or trailer works for big and small events alike. Typical bookings include:

  • Outdoor screenings
  • Summer fairs and fêtes
  • County and country shows
  • Food markets

For a church fête or fundraiser, at a church such as St Andrew's, a taco truck adds hot food to the cakes and tombola.

Questions to ask before booking

  • Whether travel is included
  • Space, access, power and water needs
  • Allergen information for each dish
  • VAT, if it applies

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Before you choose a spot

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but a few things matter:

  • A level pitch on firm ground
  • Spacing from tents and other structures
  • Details of power, water and waste arrangements

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

How it compares

Some traders struggle with vegan and gluten-free visitors. We can serve vegan fillings and corn tortillas. There’s no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican street food. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Your quote sets it all out.

What we offer in The Chart

  • We cover The Chart and the whole of Surrey
  • A quote that sets out what’s included

What happens on the day

When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. A December market in The Chart loses the light at about 3:55pm, so a lit pitch helps visitors find the truck. By contrast, a midsummer fair stays light until about 9:20pm.

  1. First, we check the dates.
  2. We agree what we will serve and where.
  3. Paperwork goes over in good time.
  4. The hatch opens when the event does.
  5. We serve, then clear the pitch at the end.

How to prepare

  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
