Our Mexican catering in KT16

With mobile Mexican catering, we bring the kitchen with us: our truck or trailer parks at your venue and we serve hot food straight from the hatch. No kitchen is needed on site. It suits anniversaries and engagements and big birthday celebrations, with loaded nachos, quesadillas and tacos.

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, get the serving area ready, and get on with serving.

  1. First, send us your date, venue, numbers and any diets we should know about.
  2. You get a suggested menu, with fillings agreed with you, and a quote.
  3. We check access, power and water with you or the venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve from the truck or trailer, or from a taco-bar station.
  5. Once everyone has eaten, we tidy our serving area and head off.

Cost

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What’s near Chertsey

Your event could be close to Woburn Park, The Crown Hotel and St Anne's Catholic Primary School and the streets around them. Nearby too are Sir William Perkins's School (within half a mile west), Church of St Peter (within half a mile north) and Chertsey High School (0.7 miles south-east). There is a railway station in Chertsey itself: Chertsey station. Nearby you’ll also find Runnymede Hospital (1 mile south-west) and Spelthorne Museum (3.2 miles north). For a walk before or after the party, there is St Ann's Hill and Gracious Pond.

Taco catering in KT16: local guide

From Chertsey, Ottershaw and Penton Hook to 4 villages and hamlets, events across KT16 range from town-centre venues to gardens and fields, and a food truck or trailer can work in all of them, given access. In towns, plan parking and loading; in villages, tell us about lanes, gates and ground.

Chertsey: For guests coming by train, Chertsey has its own station, Chertsey station. A gathering in Woburn Park would need the park owner’s say-so for any catering vehicle, and that is worth sorting out early. Evenings in Chertsey stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm. For anything running past sunset, think about lights near the hatch.

Working with your venue

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Occasions we cater for in KT16

It’s colourful, generous food that fits informal events.

These are some of the occasions we serve around KT16:

  • Big birthday celebrations
  • Christenings and family parties
  • Retirement and leaving parties
  • Fundraisers and school events

Diets, allergies and planning

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Make sure the menu has a vegan option
  • Tell us about coeliac guests, not just gluten-free preferences
  • Confirm allergies by email before the event

Once everyone has eaten, we tidy up and pack away, leaving the space as we found it.

Burrito bowls suit guests who’d rather skip the tortilla.

What’s on the menu

Build-your-own taco bar

A serving table of fillings, salsas and toppings, with tortillas kept warm. Each guest makes tacos their way.

Burritos and burrito bowls

A big flour tortilla wrapped round rice, beans, a filling and toppings, or the same served in a bowl.

What we need at the venue

We will be honest if a space won’t work. What matters most:

  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • A route in that is wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand

KT16: your questions answered

What are your prices?

We do not publish set prices, because every event is different. Tell us your numbers and plans and we will send a quote for your event.

How soon do we need to book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it is short notice, it’s worth asking.

How spicy is the food?

That is your choice: we can keep it mild and put the hotter salsas on the side. Read more about how spicy Mexican food is.

Can guests build their own tacos?

We can. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings.

What about power on site?

Let us know what’s available on site, such as a supply from the venue near where we’ll park, and we will confirm the arrangements with your quote.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we give it for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

Are plates and napkins included?

That is confirmed with each quote. Tell us whether your venue has crockery or you’d prefer disposables.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
