Mexican catering in ME1: what to expect
With mobile Mexican catering, we bring the kitchen with us: we park our food truck or trailer on site and serve hot food from it. No kitchen is needed on site. It suits leaving dos and retirement parties and staff parties and office lunches, serving quesadillas, tacos and burrito bowls.
We get there well before you want to serve, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens.
- Contact us with the basics: when, where and how many.
- Expect a suggested menu and a quote.
- Closer to the day, we confirm timings and arrangements.
- We serve hot food from our food truck or trailer at the agreed time.
- We pack away when service is over.

Catering events across ME1
From Chatham, Rochester and Strood to 3 villages and hamlets, events across ME1 range from town-centre venues to gardens and fields, and a truck or trailer suits most settings with access and level ground. Town events mean planning parking; village events mean planning access and ground.
Rochester Riverside: If people are travelling in by rail, Rochester station is in Rochester Riverside itself. When the service is at a church such as Church of St Nicholas, the food normally happens elsewhere, at a field, hall or garden with room for the truck. A December event in Rochester Riverside will be in the dark from about 3:50pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. At midsummer, the light holds until around 9:20pm.

About the menu
Salsas and guacamole
Salsas and guacamole, made fresh for your event, with lime and fresh toppings.
Burritos and burrito bowls
A big flour tortilla wrapped round rice, beans, a filling and toppings, or the same served in a bowl.
Diets, allergies and planning
With a little notice, most diets are easy. Our advice:
- Tell us about coeliac guests, not just gluten-free preferences
- Think about cover for guests in wet weather
- Let us know about any other food at the event
- Check that your venue allows outside caterers and vehicles
Guests order at the hatch and we serve them there and then, so everything goes out hot.
Quesadillas are a good choice for children and cautious eaters.
Working with your venue
If you’re organising for someone else, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.
Throwing a party at home? Send us a photo of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we will tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.
Before you choose a spot
No two venues are the same, so we ask about the space before we confirm. Generally, we look for:
- Room for a serving table for the taco bar
- Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking
- A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
ME1: your questions answered
Do you do a drinks bar?
You can add our drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Alcohol needs the right licence, so we will check that with you.
What is mobile Mexican catering?
We park our truck or trailer at your venue and serve hot Mexican street food from it. A build-your-own taco bar is another option.
Is there a minimum number of guests?
Truck and trailer service normally suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case. Send us your numbers and we’ll advise.
How soon do we need to book?
As soon as you have a date. Popular dates go first, so it pays to ask early.
Is the food suitable for children?
Yes. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.
What if the weather’s bad?
Rain doesn’t generally stop service from the truck or trailer. It is worth planning a covered area for guests, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.
How much does Mexican catering cost?
We do not publish set prices, because every event is different. Send your details and you’ll get a quote for your event.
