About Mexican catering in OX20

Truck and trailer service typically suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case, so let us know how many you expect. On the menu are quesadillas, loaded nachos and burrito bowls, and it suits leaving dos and retirement parties and engagement celebrations.

When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue.

  1. Share the date, the venue and how many are coming.
  2. We plan a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We confirm the way in and where we will park.
  4. Food is served from the hatch or a taco-bar table.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Cost

Pricing depends on the event. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Your quote sets it all out.

Around Woodstock

Your event could be close to Church of St Mary Magdalene, Marlborough School and The Punchbowl Inn. The nearest railway station is Hanborough station, roughly 2 miles south-west. Other landmarks nearby include Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum (0.5 miles west).

Catering events across OX20

OX20 covers everything from Woodstock, Wootton and Bladon to 4 small villages and hamlets, and a food truck or trailer can work in all of them, given access. Town events mean planning parking; village events mean planning access and ground.

Woodstock: By road, Woodstock is on or near the A44, which makes it easy for us to reach with the truck or trailer. Guests leaving a church like Church of St Mary Magdalene after a christening could walk over to a nearby garden where the tacos are ready. Around midsummer it stays light in Woodstock until about 9:30pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.

The menu, item by item

What affects the price in OX20

We will give you a clear quote. The main things that affect it are:

  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • What’s on the menu
  • What the venue already provides
  • The number of people

Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you choose what goes in.

Is Mexican catering right for you?

Cold buffets are easy, but the food sits out. Our food is served hot, one order at a time.

Comparing caterers

  • A food hygiene rating you can check
  • Allergen information for each dish
  • When payment is due
  • Who provides plates and napkins

For planners, venues and organisers

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can check the date.

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so everyone is served promptly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

Diets, allergies and planning

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Collect dietary needs when guests reply
  • Think about cover for guests in wet weather
  • Let us know about any other food at the event
  • Send allergy details to us in writing

When service ends, we pack down and clear our area quietly.

Burrito bowls suit guests who’d rather skip the tortilla, and they’re easy to adapt for different diets.

Common questions in OX20

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, with allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

Do you serve in the rain?

We can still serve in the rain. Plan a marquee, gazebo or indoor space for guests to eat in.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

What access do you need?

A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, plus the venue’s permission. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need dairy-free food, and we will include them in the plan.

Do you cater for big events?

It depends on the event. As a guide, it is around 50 to 400 guests; tell us your numbers and we will take it from there.

Do you cook on site?

We cook to order in our food truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
