How Mexican catering works in RH1

A build-your-own taco bar is one of the most sociable ways to feed a crowd. Everyone builds their own tacos from what’s laid out, so nobody ends up with something they don’t want. On the menu are burrito bowls, quesadillas and loaded nachos, which works well for engagement celebrations and retirement and leaving parties.

We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can enjoy your event.

  1. Send us your date, numbers and venue.
  2. Together we plan a menu around your guests’ diets.
  3. We confirm the way in and where we’ll park.
  4. Food is served from the hatch or a taco-bar table.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Why book with us

  • A quote that sets out what’s included
  • Menus chosen with you
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both

How to get a price

Getting a quote is simple: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We’ll come back with a clear quote.

Local landmarks in Redhill

In Redhill, that could mean a party near St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Saint Matthew's Church and The Carrington School and the streets around them. You will also find White Lion Public House (less than half a mile west), Nutfield Marshes (0.9 miles north-east) and Dunottar School (0.8 miles south-west). There’s a railway station in Redhill itself: Redhill station, handy for guests travelling by train. A little further out are The Belfry (within half a mile north) and Surrey Fire Museum (1.2 miles west). Open spaces near Redhill include Colley Hill and Reigate Heath.

Taco catering in RH1: local guide

RH1 covers everything from Redhill, Reigate and South Merstham to 10 small villages and hamlets, and a truck or trailer suits most settings with access and level ground. Town events mean planning parking; village events mean planning access and ground.

Redhill: When the service is at a church such as Saint Matthew's Church, the food typically happens elsewhere, at a field, hall or garden with room for the truck. If you are organising a summer fair for a school like St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, a taco truck can be a crowd-pleaser. From late May to late September, sunset in Redhill moves from about 8:50pm to 7:05pm. If your event carries on later, tell us what lighting the venue has.

Why street food works

Every order goes out hot, rather than sitting out on a buffet table.

We cater all kinds of occasions in RH1 and nearby. Popular bookings include:

  • Fundraisers and school events
  • Engagement celebrations
  • Staff parties and office lunches
  • Festivals, fairs and markets

Working with your venue

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can check the date.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Can I do a taco night myself?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Catering for every guest

We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests. To make it work smoothly:

  • Count children separately
  • Think about cover for guests in wet weather
  • Tell us what other food is being served
  • Check that your venue allows outside caterers and vehicles

We can still serve from the hatch if it rains, though guests need somewhere under cover to eat.

A tray of loaded nachos works well to start.

Before you choose a spot

We will agree the spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • Clear vehicle access: gate widths, height limits and the ground checked before the day
  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking

Your questions about Mexican catering in RH1

What happens if it rains?

We can serve from the hatch in the rain. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.

Can you plan for allergies?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we cannot promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes, on request. Let us know your dairy-free numbers, and we will plan the menu around them.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we do. The drinks bar can be added to food or booked on its own. For alcohol, we will talk licensing through with you and your venue.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Please ask us. Let us know what you already have, and we will confirm what’s included with your quote.

Do you do parties at home?

It depends on access. If the truck or trailer can’t reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Send us a picture and we will talk it through.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
