How we price wedding Mexican catering

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:

  • Serving staff
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Food, drinks or both
  • The length of service

Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What we need to know

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • What power and water the site has
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • How we drive in and where we can park

Wedding Mexican catering for your wedding in Apse Heath

Mixed diets are easier with a Mexican wedding menu: we plan gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options and give allergen information for every dish. On the menu are burrito bowls, tacos and loaded nachos, and it is a good fit for garden and marquee weddings and day-after celebrations.

Rural weddings around Apse Heath have a charm of their own, and tacos served from a truck in a field add to it. Plan access, ground and cover in case of rain. You can book food, drinks or both, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

Diets, allergies and planning

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because guests can choose what suits them. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Confirm the venue’s catering rules early
  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP cards
  • Plan a covered area for eating in case of rain
  • Include suppliers who need feeding

We keep in touch with your venue coordinator on the day, so you do not have to.

Include your suppliers in the numbers.

For event organisers in Apse Heath

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

The menu, item by item

Quesadillas

Comparing your options

Plated wedding meals need a kitchen and more staff. We bring our kitchen with us, and the style is more relaxed. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we will set out what’s included.

How the day works

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our area. For a summer wedding in Apse Heath, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so evening tacos are usually served in daylight in high summer. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 4:00pm in December, plan lighting around the truck or trailer.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, day and evening numbers and your plans.
  2. Together we choose a taco bar, evening food or both, and we send a quote.
  3. We agree access, timings, power and water with you and your venue.
  4. On the day we set up and serve when your running order says.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Getting ready for the day

  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Tell us what power and water the site has

Apse Heath: your questions answered

Which station should guests use for Apse Heath?

Guests can use Shanklin station, about 1.3 miles south-east of Apse Heath.

Will you travel to a small place like Apse Heath?

Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Can you cater the whole day?

Yes. A taco bar works well as a wedding breakfast, and tacos or nachos make good evening food.

Do you need electricity?

Tell us what the site has, for instance a supply from the venue, and we’ll confirm what we need with your quote.

Do you work with our venue?

Yes. We are happy to talk to your venue about access, timings, power and water.

Can guests build their own tacos?

We can. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings. Read our taco bar guide.

Do you cook on site?

We cook to order in our truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

Can you cater for vegans and gluten-free guests?

Yes. We plan vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, and we give allergen information for every dish.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Space, access and the venue

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space before we confirm. In general, we need:

  • Clear vehicle access: gate widths, height limits and the ground checked before the day
  • A place for the truck or trailer near where guests are eating
  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a catering vehicle

Apse Heath is a more remote spot, so tell us early and we’ll plan the journey and access for the truck or trailer.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

What we offer

  • Taco bar wedding breakfast
  • Guacamole and salsas
  • Burritos and bowls
  • Evening tacos
  • Margarita bar
