Your questions about wedding Mexican catering in Battle
How far is Battle from central London?
It’s about 47 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.
Which station is closest to Battle?
Guests can use Battle station, about 0.6 miles south-east of Battle.
Do you cook on site?
We slow-cook fillings ahead, then finish them and keep them hot at your event. The tortillas are warmed on site, and the salsas and guacamole are made fresh.
What if our speeches run late?
We adapt. We keep in touch with your venue on the day and serve when you’re ready.
Do you clear up afterwards?
Our area is packed away and left tidy. Tell us the venue’s rules on waste and clearing up and we will talk it through.
Do you need power and water?
Let us know what’s available on site, such as a supply from the venue near where we’ll park, and we’ll confirm what we need with your quote.
Do you do evening food as well as the main meal?
We can cater as much or as little of the day as you like, from the wedding breakfast to evening food. Share your plans and we’ll suggest a menu.
Can you run a bar?
Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we will talk licensing through with you.
What we need at the venue
Every venue is different, so we will ask about yours before we confirm. In general, we need:
- Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking
- Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch
- Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

What wedding Mexican catering costs
These are the factors that matter most:
- Whether you need disposables
- The length of service
- The number of people
- Distance and access to the venue
When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we will set out what’s included.
Getting an accurate quote
When you contact us, it helps to tell us:
- Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
- Your date and when you want service to start
- What power and water the site has
- Expected numbers
A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. When you’re ready, use our quote form.
DIY taco night or a caterer?
Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.
For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.
How it compares
Pizza and bacon rolls are common evening choices. Evening tacos are something different. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.
Why us?
- Service planned around your numbers
- Menus for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests
- Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both
- A quote that sets out what’s included
Step by step
The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we will help you choose a spot with room for a queue. We can serve in the rain, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. In Battle, midsummer sunset is about 9:15pm, and by late September it is nearer 7:00pm, so evening tacos are generally served in daylight in high summer. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 3:55pm in December, plan lighting around the truck or trailer.
- Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
- Together we plan the food for your day.
- Timings are agreed with your venue.
- On the day, we set up and serve on cue.
- We pack down and leave our area tidy.
Before we arrive
- Give us your final numbers and diets
- Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
- Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
