Wedding Mexican catering in Hastings, from our truck or trailer

The truck or trailer adds a splash of colour to the day, and guests enjoy seeing their food served fresh. It works well for day-after celebrations and weddings in a marquee or garden, with quesadillas, burrito bowls and evening tacos.

Around Hastings, couples choose venues, gardens and marquees. Whichever you choose, we will agree access and the serving spot with the venue, including any town-centre loading times. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

How it works

Here’s how the day normally runs: we park up and get ready, service opens at the agreed time, and your guests are served fresh for the agreed time. A winter wedding in Hastings gets dark early, at about 3:55pm in December, so the evening food will be served after dark. Ask your venue what outdoor lighting it has near where we will park.

  1. We start with your date, venue, guest numbers and ideas for the day.
  2. We plan the food with you: wedding breakfast, evening food or both.
  3. Timings and where the truck or trailer will stand are agreed with your venue.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve the food at the agreed times.
  5. Once service is done, we pack away quietly.

Getting ready for the day

  • Tell us what power and water the site has
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready

Should I do it myself?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Planning a taco wedding in Hastings

Hastings is in East Sussex. Whether your wedding is in the middle of Hastings or on the outskirts, we offer the same service: a truck or trailer at your event, options for every diet and a clear price. Hastings is one of 289 places in East Sussex where we can bring wedding Mexican catering. You can also see our page for Royal Tunbridge Wells, about 23 miles away.

Church Wood and Robsack Wood nearby could make a lovely backdrop for photos. Put the station on your invitation: the nearest station is St Leonards Warrior Square station, about 0.9 miles south. Couples near the coast, within about 2 miles of Hastings, sometimes want a beach feel. We need firm ground for the truck or trailer, so a clifftop lawn or venue car park may suit better than the sand.

Wherever your wedding is in TN34, TN38, TN37 and TN35, we can bring wedding Mexican catering to you, from busy streets to quiet lanes. Local streets include London Road, Church Road and Upper Church Road; for a wedding at home on any of them, tell us where the truck or trailer can park. Hastings is on the A21 and A28, which makes it straightforward to bring the truck or trailer. FAQs for Hastings

Which station should guests use for Hastings?

Guests can use St Leonards Warrior Square station, about 0.9 miles south of Hastings.

Can you cater a reception after a service at St Luke's Church?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Tell us where the reception will be.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we will advise.

Do you need power and water?

That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there is a supply near where we will park.

Is a taco bar smart enough for a wedding?

It can be dressed up or kept relaxed, depending on the presentation and the venue.

Can you handle dietary needs at our wedding?

We can. There are vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish.

Do you cater for suppliers?

Yes. Include suppliers in your numbers and we will plan for them.

Do you do evening food as well as the main meal?

Yes. We can do a taco bar for the main meal and tacos or nachos for the evening.

Before you choose a spot

We serve from a truck or trailer, so where we park matters. These are the things we check:

  • Some distance from houses and neighbours
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

Popular choices

  • Evening tacos
  • Nachos to share
  • Burritos and bowls
  • Taco bar wedding breakfast
  • Guacamole and salsas

Wedding Mexican catering or something else?

Compared with formal catering, a taco bar is relaxed and sociable, but with good presentation it still feels special. A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

What you get with us

  • Access, space and power checked in advance
  • Tacos, burritos and a drinks bar
  • A menu agreed with you
  • Fast service, even with a queue

See our prices page or our guide to catering costs.

Diets, allergies and planning

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because guests can choose what suits them. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Enquire early for summer Saturdays
  • Collect dietary needs on the RSVP
  • Give us separate day and evening numbers
  • Include suppliers who need feeding

Evening food is served at the agreed time, often after the first dance.

Quesadillas go down well with children.

For planners, venues and organisers

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We will provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.
