Wedding Mexican catering or something else?

A hog roast is popular at weddings, but harder for vegetarian and vegan guests. Separate fillings and toppings cover every diet. Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

Wedding Mexican catering for your wedding in Baybridge

We time service around your day: after the drinks reception, between the speeches or once evening guests arrive. Timings are agreed with your venue in advance. Popular choices include tacos, a taco bar for the wedding breakfast and quesadillas, which works well for rustic barn weddings and civil partnerships and vow renewals.

A wedding in a small place like Baybridge often means a field, a barn or a family garden. A truck or trailer works well there: no kitchen, just firm ground and access. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. Timings are planned around your event, whether that’s speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

Questions to ask before you book

DIY taco night or a caterer?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Questions from Baybridge

Do you cater in villages like Baybridge?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Which station is closest to Baybridge?

The closest is Shawford station, roughly 3.5 miles away.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

Can you cater for vegans and gluten-free guests?

We can. There are vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests, and we give allergen information for every dish.

Do you cater for suppliers?

Yes. Include suppliers in your numbers.

What about power on site?

That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there is a supply near where we’ll park.

Can you do gluten-free food?

We can, using corn tortillas. Corn is naturally gluten-free, though some sauces and toppings can contain gluten, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

Do you do parties at home?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Tell us about the space and we’ll advise.

Space, access and the venue

Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We need:

  • Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer
  • A serving point within easy walk of the reception
  • Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

Popular choices

  • Taco bar wedding breakfast
  • Burritos and bowls
  • Evening tacos
  • Margarita bar
  • Guacamole and salsas
  • Nachos to share

Catering for every guest

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Ask about your date as soon as you have one
  • Connect us with your coordinator
  • Share your running order, including speeches
  • Count day and evening guests separately

If things run late, and we will adjust when we serve.

A wider choice of salsas and toppings fills out the taco bar.

The process

Expect a friendly, organised team. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our food truck or trailer, and get on with serving. In Baybridge, midsummer sunset is about 9:25pm, and by late September it is nearer 7:10pm, so evening tacos are usually served in daylight in high summer. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it is dark by about 4:00pm.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan the wedding breakfast, evening food or both with you.
  3. Timings are agreed with your venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue.
  5. We clear our area once service ends.

How to prepare

  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
