Wedding Mexican catering in Berwick

About our wedding Mexican catering in Berwick

Your wedding menu is agreed with you, with fillings such as slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, alongside vegan choices like black beans or spiced mushrooms. It works well for weddings with lots of dietary needs and receptions after a small ceremony, serving evening tacos, burrito bowls and loaded nachos.

A wedding in a small place like Berwick often means a field, a barn or a family garden. A truck or trailer works well there: no venue kitchen needed, just level, firm ground and a way in. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

For planners, venues and organisers

Events in public spaces, like parks, typically need permission. We will provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

Hosting a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll let you know if it is a good fit.

Before you choose a spot

We serve from a truck or trailer, so the spot needs a little planning. Here’s what we look for:

  • Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site
  • Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch
  • A place for the truck or trailer near where guests are eating

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

Menu ideas

  • Nachos to share
  • Burritos and bowls
  • Evening tacos
  • Guacamole and salsas
  • Margarita bar
  • Taco bar wedding breakfast

Evening tacos keep everyone going.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Catering for every guest

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Try these:

  • Add your band and photographer to the numbers
  • Give us separate day and evening numbers
  • Let us know about severe allergies in writing
  • Have cover for guests if the weather turns

We serve evening food when the running order says, often after the first dance.

Ask us about plates, cutlery and serving staff, and we’ll set it out in the quote.

Questions from Berwick

Do you cater at coastal events near Berwick?

Yes, as long as the site allows it and the ground is firm. Wind, sand and seafront permissions are the main things to plan on the coast.

Do you come to events in the South Downs National Park?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

How is the food prepared?

Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

Can you cater for vegans and gluten-free guests?

We can. There are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we do. The drinks bar can be added to food or booked on its own. We’ll check the licensing for alcohol with you.

How spicy is the food?

That is your choice: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately. Read more about how spicy Mexican food is.

Can you do the wedding breakfast and evening food?

Yes. A taco bar works well as a wedding breakfast, and tacos or nachos make good evening food.

Can you liaise with the venue coordinator?

Of course. We will speak to your venue about access and timings.

Is wedding Mexican catering right for your wedding?

A hog roast is popular at weddings, but harder for vegetarian and vegan guests. Tacos cover them with separate fillings. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

How the day works

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. At midsummer, sunset in Berwick is about 9:15pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we plan the food for your day.
  3. Timings are agreed with your venue.
