Wedding Mexican catering for Bevendean events

Wedding Mexican catering in Bevendean, served fresh

Wedding taco bars feel relaxed, generous and a little different. Everyone fills their own tortillas from the fillings, salsas and toppings, and the queue becomes a chance to chat. For weddings with lots of dietary needs and sharing-style wedding meals, we can serve quesadillas, loaded nachos and burrito bowls for your guests.

Weddings in a place like Bevendean often feel personal: a local church, then a marquee in a garden or field. A food truck by the marquee suits that kind of day. Let us know about gates and ground for the truck or trailer. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

The process

Service is quick and friendly: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our area. Late-September weddings in Bevendean see the sun go down at about 7:05pm, so an evening taco service may start as the light fades. A late-May wedding keeps its light until roughly 8:50pm.

  1. We start by checking your date.
  2. You pick the menu with us.
  3. We confirm access and the serving spot with your coordinator.
  4. Guests build their tacos at the taco bar or order at the hatch.
  5. We serve, then pack down.

Space, access and the venue

Everything is served from our food truck or trailer, so the spot needs a little planning. Here’s what we look for:

  • Details of power and water on site, agreed when you book
  • Hardstanding or firm, level ground to park on
  • A route in that’s wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Wedding venues and access near Bevendean

Bevendean is about 1 mile north-east of Brighton, in Brighton and Hove. Weddings in Bevendean are planned around your venue and timings: a quote, a plan and friendly service on the day. Bevendean is one of 30 places in Brighton and Hove we cover.

With a ceremony at a church such as Holy Nativity Community Project, the simplest plan is a reception close by, so guests are not travelling far before they eat. Nearby historic houses include Royal Pavilion (2 miles south-west) and Preston Manor & Gardens (2.1 miles west). A listed house can make a beautiful backdrop, but many have firm rules on vehicles, so raise the food truck with them at your first visit. A rural reception could be within reach, as the South Downs National Park is no more than about 6 miles from Bevendean. Firm ground and a clear way in matter more than the view for a food truck. A wedding by the sea is possible from Bevendean, with the coast within about 3 miles. Seafront venues may need permission for vehicles, and we plan for the breeze.

We serve at weddings all over the BN2 postcode area. Local streets include Baden Road, The Avenue and Manton Road; for a wedding at home on any of them, tell us where the truck or trailer can park. Neighbouring places where we cater weddings include Moulsecoomb (1 mile north-west), Whitehawk (1 mile south), Hollingdean (1 mile west), Brighton (1 mile south-west) and Hanover (1 mile south-west). Further out, we also cater in Brighton and Hove (4 miles west), Hove (3 miles west), Brunswick (3 miles south-west), Aldrington (4 miles west), Hangleton (4 miles west) and Patcham (3 miles north-west).

A little further out are Churchill Square (2.3 miles south-west) and Brighton General Hospital (0.9 miles south-west). Not far away are Newmarket Hill and Bevendean Down.
