Wedding Mexican catering near Bidden

Should I do it myself?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

Wedding Mexican catering in Bidden, from our truck or trailer

A food truck or trailer suits barns, marquees, gardens and venues with hardstanding, provided there’s safe access and level, firm ground. At engagement parties at home and farm and barn venues, we can serve loaded nachos, fresh guacamole and salsas and a taco bar for the wedding breakfast and more.

Near Bidden, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. That is where a food truck comes into its own: no venue kitchen needed, just level, firm ground and a way in. Let us know about access, ground, power and water. Everything is prepared fresh for your wedding and served from our truck or trailer.

What affects the price in Bidden

We’ll give you a clear quote. What affects it most:

  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Whether you need disposables
  • Parking and the route in
  • Timings and hours

The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. We quote for each event individually.

What to tell us

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • The date and rough timings
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. To send your details, use our quote form.

Planning for every diet

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Put us in touch with your venue
  • Give us separate day and evening numbers
  • Have cover for guests if the weather turns
  • Let us know about severe allergies in writing

For a taco bar, fillings, salsas and toppings go out on a serving table, and guests come up table by table if you like.

Add our drinks bar for margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

How the day works

We get there well before you want to serve, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens. In Bidden, midsummer sunset is about 9:25pm, and by late September it is nearer 7:05pm, which means evening food is usually served in daylight in June and July. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it is dark by about 4:00pm.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, day and evening numbers and your plans.
  2. We plan the food with you: wedding breakfast, evening food or both.
  3. We agree access, timings, power and water with you and your venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue, around speeches and photos.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Getting ready for the day

  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time

How to get a price

Common questions in Bidden

Is Bidden close to London?

Roughly 43 miles from the centre of London.

Which station should guests use for Bidden?

The closest is Hook station, roughly 3.6 miles away.

Is the food very hot?

We can keep it mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

Do you need power and water?

Tell us what the site has, such as a supply from the venue near where we’ll park, and we’ll confirm what we need with your quote.

How many guests can you serve?

Truck and trailer service normally suits around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Tell us your numbers.

Can guests build their own tacos?

We can. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings.

What access do you need?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, plus the venue’s permission. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.

Comparing your options

Compared with formal catering, a taco bar is relaxed and sociable, but it can still feel like a celebration. Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so share your ideas with us. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can check the date.

Space, access and the venue

We serve from a truck or trailer, so the spot needs a little planning. Here’s what we look for:

  • Hardstanding or firm, level ground to park on
  • Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site
  • A route in that’s wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before you book.
