Wedding Mexican catering near Bilting

Wedding Mexican catering for your wedding in Bilting

Our drinks bar can serve margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with alcohol-free options too. Licensing is checked with you and the venue first. It works well for receptions after a small ceremony and weddings in a marquee or garden, serving burrito bowls, fresh guacamole and salsas and tacos.

There’s something special about a country wedding near Bilting, and a food truck by the barn or marquee adds to it. Plan access, ground and cover in case of rain. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

Getting married in Bilting?

Bilting is about 6 miles north-east of Ashford, in Kent. We cater weddings at homes, gardens and venues in Bilting. Bilting is one of 922 places in Kent we cover. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Bilting to Canterbury (8 miles away).

Group shots in Godmersham Park could be lovely, though some parks ask for notice or a permit, so look into it. For guests travelling by train, the nearest station is Wye station, about 1.7 miles south. A rural reception could be within reach, as the Kent Downs National Landscape is no more than about 2 miles from Bilting. Firm ground and a clear way in matter more than the view for a food truck.

We cover weddings in every part of the TN25 postcode area and the streets around it. From Canterbury Road and Bilting Lane or a nearby road, we can bring wedding Mexican catering there, given access. If your venue is just outside Bilting, we also cover Godmersham (1 mile north-east), Mountain Street (2 miles north), Molash (2 miles north-west), Chilham (3 miles north-east) and Shottenden (3 miles north). Within a short drive, we also cover Ashford (6 miles south-west), Canterbury (8 miles north-east), Sittingbourne (13 miles north-west), Folkestone (13 miles south-east), Whitstable (11 miles north) and Faversham (8 miles north).

Nearby you’ll also find Tower keep castle at Chilham (2.5 miles north) and William Harvey Hospital (4.8 miles south).

Planners, venues and businesses

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so everyone is served promptly. Let us know how long the break is.

Questions from Bilting

We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Lawrence: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

What’s the nearest station to Bilting for guests?

Wye station, about 1.7 miles south of the centre.

Do you work with our venue?

Of course. We are happy to talk to your venue about access, timings, power and water.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we will go through the licensing with you.

Is a taco bar smart enough for a wedding?

It can be as relaxed or as polished as you like, depending on how it is served.

Can you cater in a back garden?

Yes, if the truck or trailer can get in and park on level, firm ground. Tell us about the drive, gates and any slopes.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.

What does wedding Mexican catering cost?

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you want. Tell us your date and numbers and we will reply with a quote.

Prices and what affects them

Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:

  • How many guests we are serving
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • How long we’re needed on site
  • Your choice of food and drinks

Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

What we need to know

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what to include:

  • A picture of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • The date and time of the event
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Roughly how many adults and children

Not sure what you need yet? No problem: give us the basics about your wedding, and we’ll make suggestions. When you are ready, send us your details through our quote form.

Wedding Mexican catering or something else?

Hog roasts are popular but tricky for mixed diets. Separate fillings and toppings cover every diet. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

Why book Mobile Mexican Catering in Bilting

  • Options for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests
  • A menu agreed with you
  • Allergen information for every dish
  • Book food, drinks or both

See how we price and the cost guide.

Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Space, access and the venue

Everything is served from our food truck or trailer, so the spot needs a little planning. Here’s what we look for:

  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.

The process

Expect a friendly, organised team. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, get the serving area ready, and serve without fuss. By late September, sunset in Bilting is around 7:00pm, so an evening taco service may start as the light fades. A late-May wedding keeps its light until roughly 8:45pm.

  1. First, we check availability for your date.
  2. You pick the menu with us.
  3. We confirm the plan with your venue.
  4. Guests build their tacos at the taco bar or order at the hatch.
  5. After serving, we clear away.

Preparing for the day

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
