Wedding Mexican catering in Clement Street, from our food truck or trailer

Service is planned around your running order: whether that is straight after the photos or later in the evening. We go over timings with your venue beforehand. It suits blessings and vow renewals and garden and marquee weddings, with burrito bowls, tacos and evening tacos.

A wedding in a small place like Clement Street often means a field, a barn or a family garden. A truck or trailer works well there: no kitchen, just firm ground and access. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

Diets, allergies and planning

Every guest is catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included. To get it right:

  • Let us know about severe allergies in writing
  • Let us know about supplier meals
  • Send us the running order and speech times
  • Give us separate day and evening numbers

If speeches or photos run over, tell us, and we will adjust when we serve so the food is still hot.

Ask us about plates, cutlery and serving staff, and we will confirm what’s possible with your quote.

How we price wedding Mexican catering

These are the factors that matter most:

  • The length of service
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What we need to know

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what to include:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Where the event is

We need only a few details to quote: date, location, guest numbers and diets. To send them, tell us about it on our contact page.

Planning the serving area

Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We look for:

  • A serving spot close to the marquee or reception area
  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before you book.

Menu ideas

  • Burritos and bowls
  • Guacamole and salsas
  • Evening tacos
  • Nachos to share
  • Taco bar wedding breakfast
  • Margarita bar

Step by step

When we arrive, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. We are ready to serve at the agreed time, so everything runs to your schedule. Late-September weddings in Clement Street see the sun go down at about 7:05pm, so an evening taco service may start as the light fades. In late May it stays light until about 8:50pm.

  1. First, we check availability for your date.
  2. You choose the fillings, sides and extras.
  3. We confirm the plan with your venue.
  4. Guests build their tacos at the taco bar or order at the hatch.
  5. After serving, we clear away.

Before we arrive

  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready

How to get a price

It’s easy to get a price: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll send you a clear quote and a suggested menu.

Yes. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from. Read our taco bar guide.

What if the weather’s bad?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

We can. We can do a taco bar for the main meal and tacos or nachos for the evening.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
