Earlsfield weddings: local tips

Earlsfield is about 2 miles north-east of Wimbledon, in Greater London. For wedding Mexican catering in Earlsfield, we can park up at venues, fields, drives and courtyards. We cover 764 places across Greater London.

With a ceremony at a church such as St John the Divine, the simplest plan is a reception close by, so guests are not travelling far before they eat. We can set up while the photos are taken. For guests travelling by train, Earlsfield station is in Earlsfield itself.

We serve at weddings all over the SW18, SW17 and SW19 postcode area and the streets around it. From Burr Road, Acuba Road and Mount Road or a nearby road, we can bring wedding Mexican catering there, given access. Close by, we cover weddings in Southfields (1 mile north-west), Summerstown (1 mile south), Wandsworth (1 mile north), Tooting Bec (1 mile south-east) and Tooting (1 mile south-east). Further out, we also cater in London (5 miles north-east), City of Westminster (5 miles north), Marylebone (5 miles north), Kensington (4 miles north), St Pancras (6 miles north-east) and Shoreditch (7 miles north-east).

Planning for every diet

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Ask about diets and allergies with your RSVPs
  • Put us in touch with your venue
  • Check your date with us early
  • Add your band and photographer to the numbers

A taco bar is laid out on a table, and guests come up table by table if you like.

Loaded nachos make easy evening food.

Should I do it myself?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Where the truck can go in Earlsfield

We will be honest if a space won’t work, and suggest an alternative. The main points are:

  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand
  • Clear vehicle access: gate widths, height limits and the ground checked before the day
  • A place for the truck or trailer near where guests are eating

London streets around Earlsfield can be narrow and busy, and all of Greater London sits inside the ULEZ. Tell us about loading, permits and any parking suspension when you enquire.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Is wedding Mexican catering right for your wedding?

Many food trucks only cover evening food. We can do the main meal as well, so one caterer covers the day. Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we’ll set out what’s included.

Why us?

  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • A truck or trailer that comes to you
  • Service planned around your numbers
  • Events in Earlsfield and across Greater London

Take a look at our prices page or our guide to catering costs.

What happens on the day

We get there well before you want to serve, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. A winter wedding in Earlsfield gets dark early, at about 3:55pm in December, so the evening food will be served after dark. Festoon lights by the truck help guests see the menu.

  1. We start by checking your date.
  2. You choose the fillings, sides and extras.
  3. We confirm access and the serving spot with your coordinator.
  4. Food is served from the taco bar or the hatch.
  5. We serve, then pack down.

Earlsfield: your questions answered

Can you bring your truck or trailer to King George's Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.

Could you serve our guests after a service at St John the Divine?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. We’d serve at the reception venue rather than at the church itself. Send us the reception address.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, and give allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

What’s on the menu?

We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings might include chicken tinga, pork carnitas, al pastor-style pork and vegan options like black beans. See our menu for ideas.

How long are you on site?

We arrive in good time to set up before service. The length of service is agreed when you book, along with pack-down.

Will you talk to our venue?

Yes, it makes life easier. Put us in touch and we will agree the details.

Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?

Yes, a taco bar is one of our options. Let us know your numbers and space and we’ll suggest the best set-up.

Prices and what affects them

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • How many staff you need
  • How many guests we are serving
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • The length of service

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, as there is no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Getting an accurate quote

The more we know about your wedding, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • Expected numbers

It’s easy to get a price: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We will send you a clear quote.

For planners, venues and organisers

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we’ll keep you updated on timings and set-up.
